Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of wearing many hats and taking on diverse roles that have honed my skills. From the Wisconsin State Legislature to local government, I’ve developed a unique blend of expertise in customer service, administrative support, research and event coordination. 📌 Legislative Experience: As a Research Assistant/Committee Clerk supporting elected officials in the Wisconsin State Legislature, I managed sensitive information, coordinated special events, drafted committee reports and bill summaries, facilitated the committee and legislator’s schedule and served as a trusted resource for the public, media, state agencies and colleagues.   My role required in-depth research and analysis of complex issues, as well as clear and professional communication with a wide range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.   I played a key role in hiring and supervising employees, balancing leadership and collaboration with professionalism, tact and discretion. 📌 Municipal Clerk/Treasurer Role: As Clerk/Treasurer for the Village of North Prairie, I managed HR functions, handled confidential materials, issued various permits and licenses and processed open records requests. My responsibilities included budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, all aspects of running elections, preparing minutes of Village Board Meetings and serving as the custodian of records—all while streamlining processes and keeping the community informed. 📌 Certifications That Fuel My Growth: I believe in the power of continuous learning to broaden my skills and take on new challenges. I’ve pursued certifications to strengthen my expertise and just for fun, including: Paralegal Certification Advanced Legal Research and Writing Wisconsin Notary Certification (expires 2027) Wisconsin Elections Commission Certification for Municipal Clerks Witnesses/Victim Coordination 📌 Noteworthy Accomplishments: Successfully implemented a direct deposit payroll system, despite having no formal background in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll. Coordinated Capitol moves into newly refurbished wings of the building with precision and adaptability, even without formal training in project management. Spearheaded the launch of a municipal social media presence, enhancing public engagement and transparency. I thrive in roles that require versatility, shifting priorities and analytical thinking. Whether it’s conducting in-depth research, navigating complex policies or mastering new technologies, I bring dedication, a strong work ethic and a passion for solving problems; I love going down the proverbial rabbit hole.   As I continue my professional journey, I’m excited to connect with others who value adaptability, lifelong learning and a commitment to excellence. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred. - 3-4 years of relevant experience. - Successful grant writing experience securing state and federal grants. - Prior grant management experience with a non-profit, tribal, or government agency. - Experience working with data management systems. - Demonstrated commitment to serving Indigenous Peoples and/or public service in a mission-driven organization. - Solid understanding of budgets as they relate to proposals and grants. - Demonstrated ability to assess qualitative and quantitative outcome data. - Excellent project management and organizational skills. - Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills. - Outstanding research and analytical skills. - Strong team collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment. - Proficient in using computers and relevant software programs. Grant Opportunity Alert: The United States Department of Labor is opening a second round of funding for its "Critical Sector Job Quality Grants" program. This program is open to nonprofit organizations, such as labor unions, training centers, and local governments, for projects that improve the quality of jobs in the hospitality, care, and climate resiliency sectors. Two tracks for applications include: Planning Grants: Grants up to $500,000 over the course of 18 months. Planning grants support worker-centered partnerships to improve job equity and job quality within the care, climate resiliency, and hospitality sectors. Implementation Grants: Grants up to $3 million over the course of three years. Implementation grants invest in established partnerships that are ready to implement specific worker-centered strategies that will improve job quality within the care, climate resiliency, and hospitality sectors. Good Day Everyone, Can someone kindly help me understand how I have to pay out of pocket for NYC Required OSHA 62 Safety Certification Local Law 196 Enforced for all field employment in NYC in 2020. ? I process union payroll, AIA Pay Requisitions and multiple contract changes as they are submitted l, rejected and approved. in order to commit to my position accordingly and process all information given to me by project managers it would be nice to be able to walk thru the jobsite if necessary and make an extra 20-30k using the required knowledge necessary and required. Recent influx of immigrants were given required OSHA Certifications for FREE at NO financial responsibility but they are NOT allowed work legally. yet I have yo pay or settle for the under payed admin positions if I don't have requirement. which basically mean work in NYC bit you can't lice or survive there... What is happening in our city?? How is this possible 😳? I work for the city on city projects during the most difficult time. I get no assistance, sponsorship absolutely nothing as a U.S. Born citizen not even advocate...*free advice* Seem like the only way to make more money is to get deeper in school debt in order to even be acknowledged for a decent salary that doesn't even cover living in the city nevertheless paying back the debt for classes required by law. I have 6 different, non English speaking immigrants friends that arrived months ago an already have required certification completed for FREE... incredible the way we have to swim against the current.
