Them: Where are you going to be taking your internship?
Me: Noguchi Memorial Institute
Them: How did you get there?
Me: I simply submitted my letter and God helped.
Them: Through who?
Me: (Confused at this point😂) Through no one just my letter.
...and that is how an internship which would go on to give me so much exposure and also change my perceptions about many things started.
Three weeks ago, I successfully completed my six-week internship at the Noguchi Memorial Institute and I must say, it was an insightful and inspiring journey for me seeing all the groundbreaking accomplishments scientists are making in the field of research.
From character development to learning new lab techniques and processes like DNA extraction to gratitude coupled with struggles from time to time. The six-week period was definitely worth it.
In upcoming posts, I’m going to be sharing some of the lessons learned, the things I’m grateful for as well as the challenges I encountered and how I dealt with them.
Have you taken an internship before? Let me know about your experience in the comments.🤩
