90% of clinical trials face delays, costing researchers millions during the trial journey. Traditional methods deter diverse patient participation. Our CEO, Dr. Harsha Rajasimha advocates for #decentralizedtrials. These trials connect patients and study sites through digital platforms, reducing delays and increasing study effectiveness. Prioritizing patient accessibility and diversity is crucial for the future of medical research. Keynote Speaker | Cultural Architect | Healthcare Process Improvement | Strategic Planning | In-depth Advisory & Coaching Services | Advancing Patient Experience & Employee Engagement
I am trying to understand patient participation in research trials. Question for any leaders that work in research based hospitals: What kind of metrics do you use to track patients participating in research studies? What metric is used to track below scenario? Scenario: Amount of patients that are encouraged to participate in a research trial by their physician, treatment is delayed while they wait for participation approval from the research board, and come to find out patient is not approved for the research study. Thanks in advance for the feedback. #medicalresearch #healthcareprofessional #healthcareleadership #humanexperience #healthcare Abbott Solutions LLC

Mark your calendars for a virtual event you won't want to miss! Next week, Cambridge Forum will take a deep dive into our healthcare system to explore how it's changing. As we all know, falling off mainstream medical coverage can be a scary place to land. The good guidance, support, and infrastructure we need to navigate the system isn't always readily available. That's why Susannah Fox's solution is so interesting. By tracking the expert networks of patients, survivors, and caregivers, she's found a way forward. Fox believes that the next wave of health innovation will come from the front lines of a "patient-led revolution in medical care." But, the shortage of doctors and professional caregivers available to patients is a serious issue that many feel cannot be replaced by technology alone. In fact, patients often complain about the lack of personal interaction and compassion. Dr. Allen Sussman, author of SAVING THE ART OF MEDICINE, shares this sentiment. He's a retired endocrinologist and Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Washington. Join us to hear more about these topics and more at the Cambridge Forum.
