Sales and commitment After our NYSC, my coursemate and I went out job hunting. We decided to visit one of the largest shipping companies in Apapa. When we arrived at their head office, we were allowed to see the receptionist. She collected our CVs and told us, "Once there is an opening, we will contact both of you. For now, we are not recruiting new staff." We thanked her and left. My coursemate who I went to submit the CV with decided to be going to that shipping company every week. He would go to the shipping company's office without informing me and drop off a new, fresh CV with the receptionist. Interestingly, she would collect it and still keep it in their file. He constantly went there for almost 3months, submitting his CV. When the organization wanted to hire, the HR department was sorting through the CVs and noticed that my coursemate's CV was just everywhere in their files. That's how they invited him for an interview, and he got the job. My question for you as a salesperson, "How badly do you need to close this transaction?" Can you commit to what you are currently doing now? "Can you follow up on a transaction to see it through to the end, even when the customer is saying no?" Behind everything that works is someone making it happen. "Can a customer call you at 2 AM to buy your product, and no matter how tired you are, you still pick up the phone to assist them?" "The result of a great thing you see is built on a solid foundation called commitment." "Whenever customers see that you are committed to what you do, they will certainly come back." Let’s keep selling 👍 #commitment #keepbuilding #customer #wakanow #sales
