In 2024, the startup ecosystem in Slovakia remained relatively steady compared to the previous period, with AI startups securing investments totaling €39M. 🇸🇰 Looking at the bigger picture, Slovakia ranks fifth out of eight countries analyzed in terms of funding for AI startups in 2024. By comparison, the Czech Republic, Slovakia’s neighbor and business partner, ranked last in funding with €24M. 📉 The biggest Slovak rounds of 2024 were secured by CloudTalk (Martin M., Viktor Vanek) and Powerful Medical (Robert Herman, MD, Martin Herman), and other startups as Auglio (Ondrej/Andras Bagin, Peter Soos, Vít Endler), CloseRocket (Katarína Šimková, Dusan Koutny, Stanislav Bazik) and elv.ai (Jakub Šuster, Gabriel Tóth) are on the growth path. AIM has launched Happy Llama 2025, a conference dedicated to AI Startups in India. The goal is simple: give AI startups a dedicated space to showcase their capabilities, to connect with investors and experts and to learn from experts who can share tested strategies.
