I'm thrilled to announce that I will be presenting our latest research at the ISPOR 2024 conference in Atlanta, GA, tomorrow, May 6, 2024! Join us for an in-depth look into our study on "Comparative Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Interventions for Perinatal Methamphetamine Use Disorder: A Decision Modeling Method." 🔍 Study Overview: Our research utilizes a decision tree model to assess the direct medical costs and clinical outcomes for pregnant individuals diagnosed with Methamphetamine Use Disorder (MUD). We compared the effectiveness of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) against Naltrexone/Bupropion and no intervention, providing critical insights for healthcare decision-makers. #ISPORAnnual #HealthEconomics #PublicHealth #Research #PerinatalCare #MethamphetamineUseDisorder #TMS #HealthcareInnovation

Can we reset our health to pre-crisis vitality? In a recent discussion, Robert Masson MD, FACS FAANS shared valuable insights on spine health and the approach to surgical intervention. Dr. Masson challenges conventional practices by emphasizing a holistic, patient-centered methodology rather than focusing solely on diagnostic imaging like MRIs. He advocates for understanding the root cause of a patient’s spine health crisis—identifying triggers and not just symptoms. The goal, according to Dr. Masson, isn't to revert patients to their teenage physiological state but rather to restore them to their condition before the crisis. This involves the least invasive, most holistic, and fully recoverable methods to achieve total functionality. Furthermore, Dr. Masson encourages using the health crisis as an opportunity for patients to ascend to an even better level of wellness than before. Dr. Masson’s approach seeks to optimize surgical outcomes while also empowering patients to achieve sustained recovery and improved quality of life. Join the conversation on how innovative, patient-centered approaches can revolutionize spine health care. #SpineHealth #SurgicalInnovation #HealthcareLeadership #DrSinicropi #WellnessattheSpeedofLight #SpineSurgeron #People #metabolichealth #Healthcare

Another great post by the Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc. “Preeclampsia is the great imitator” Why is that important? Because many signs and symptoms of #preeclampsia can be mistaken for other common discomforts of pregnancy or #postpartum and the diagnosis can be missed resulting in severe maternal outcomes. #emergency #physicians and #nurses we need you! Preeclampsia is a leading cause of readmission, severe morbidity and mortality. ✅ ask all childbearing age women if they are pregnant or POSTPARTUM. 💻 #patientsafety officers is this question asked regularly in your Emergency Department triage? Check out the #ehr workflow, assessing postpartum status is often missing. 👂listen carefully to what patients tell you. (Remember the “great imitator”) 🩺 what is the patients BP? Severe range BP’s are NOT normal and require timely and appropriate treatment. Severe range in a pregnant or postpartum patient is >/= 160 mmHg systolic and/or >/= 110 mmHg diastolic !!! Now more than ever with birthing units closing across the country we need to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of #preeclampsia and that preeclampsia occurs #postpartum. #awareness #maternalhealth Julia Wheeling Perinatal Quality Consultants
