We are hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow to develop new phase change material (PCM) and reflective coating (RC) material, which are good for improving energy efficiency of buildings! The project titled “Development of self-temperature controlling concrete solar roof tiles and building blocks using waste materials to improve building energy rating” is funded through SmartCrete CRC. The position suits those looking for a postdoctoral fellow opportunity or who are close to submitting their PhD theses. The applicants must be residing in Australia and available to start soon after selection. Initially, employment will be for three months as a research assistant (probation period) on a casual basis. A fixed-term postdoctoral position will be offered after performance evaluation if satisfactory progress is made. The preferred candidates should demonstrate strong academic performance in subjects relevant to #chemicalengineering , #Chemistry, #materialsengineering, and/or #materialsscience. Favourably, the candidates should have experience in synthesising materials in the lab, characterising them, and applying them to a product. If you are interested in this position, please get in touch with Dr Md Abdul Alim (M.Alim@westernsydney.edu.au) with your CV. The application deadline is 15 March 2024.

Stop looking for Masters or PhD in Chemistry you may never find. Graduate School positions are rarely advertised as a discipline but as a research area. Thus, instead of searching for MS or PhD position, find a reach area that interests you, deepen your understanding of that area and begin a search of the internet space in that area. For Example, search for advertised positions in Medicinal Chemistry or Environmental Chemistry not just chemistry. If you don't know the research areas in Chemistry, find a list of 50 research areas in Chemistry. 1. Organic Chemistry and Synthesis 2. Inorganic Chemistry 3. Physical Chemistry 4. Analytical Chemistry 5. Biochemistry 6. Medicinal Chemistry 7. Organometallic Chemistry 8. Polymer Chemistry 9. Computational Chemistry 10. Green Chemistry 11. Environmental Chemistry 12.
