Another ADSW over! Thanks to everyone at Masdar and our incredible suppliers for making it all happen. So much learned, so many connections made, and plenty to look forward to. When you are part of a small company chasing bold, ambitious goals, it’s often those closest to us who quietly make sacrifices along the way. So, to my wife, Angela Commane, I would like to apologise for: 1) Being rubbish at Christmas, including but not limited to demonstrating low engagement in the tradition of Santa presents, maintaining a generally substandard standard of present wrapping, failing to contribute meaningfully to Christmas cooking despite consuming more than my fair share of the festive feast, and engaging in unauthorized phone usage, such as checking emails during a family screening of "Love Actually". 2) A poor level of attendance to child and school-related activities, including but not limited to missing Freddie’s cross-country silver achievement (as evidenced in the attached photo), failing to participate equally in school pick-ups, consistently forgetting about homework until late Sunday afternoons, and being absent from several family dinners due to remaining in the office. 3) Inadequate support of her entrepreneurship, including but not limited to neglecting to supervise children entering and leaving the house as they create unnecessary noise and mess, excessively relying on her to ensure the household is well-maintained (which encroached on her work time), and failing to act as a reliable second opinion or source of support. Overall, these actions demonstrate a disregard for the balance required for her to foster both family harmony and professional success.
