Digital Marketer & SEO Specialist | LinkedIn Certified | Made 100K+ Followers in Personal Branding in 2 Months with Organic Content| Small Business Growth Specialist | Freelancer and Content Creator
Bro, How can I get clients as a freelancer? Recently, I have been getting messages from digital marketing beginners about how to get clients or acquire work as a freelancer. First of all, I need to tell those who are trying to start freelancing or digital marketing, You need to try it first on your own. You won't get any clients if you don't try. No one is coming to you and asking, "Hey, can you work on my SEO?" or "Do you do paid ads?" until you build authority for yourself. Here are some ways you can start or get better clients for freelancing: 1 - Cold DMs, messages, emails (the traditional way, and sometimes this will -help you, but you need a lot of patience) 2 - Content marketing via social media - reels are most highlighted in 2024 - provide value and attract your audience 3 - SEO - start a website, rank for your keywords, and attract your audience 4 - Paid ads - this is only an option if you have a budget 5 - Linkedin and networking 6 - Lastly reference There are lots of other ways you can get or attract clients; these are my personal methods for getting clients. Try these methods and don't stop until you get one. If you get one client, you've learned that way and can try again. If you have any doubts, DM me. #freelacing #digitalmarketing #advertising

Coming up to my 5th year of being a full-time SEO consultant... No idea where the time has gone! Here are some things I've learned over the years that can hopefully help anyone looking to make the transition, or make a start in the freelancing world. - Organic leads are good, but referrals are better I invested a lot of time in the early days on ranking my consultancy site. And, it still does get leads, but nothing beats doing good work and getting a referral from a happy client. - Don't feel like you have to say yes to everything This is a really tough one to learn, but sometimes saying no is the right thing to do. Whether that's a gut feeling or just because you're too busy, it's okay to say no if a potential project or client doesn't sit right with you. - Consider a productised approach I've found that being able to offer a productised service approach has led to better conversions, as it's clear to the client what they'll receive. For example, instead of a broader SEO package with all of its inevitable ambiguities, you could look to offer set hours of consultancy, a tech SEO package with set deliverables (such as an audit and a block of training time), or even recurring packages for things like outreach. - Guard your time and set boundaries This is another one I've figured out the hard way. It's important to set boundaries around what you're providing and when you can be contacted, otherwise you can very easily spend a significant amount of time on calls/meetings that you never initially agreed to. - Don't feel bad for taking time off This seems to be a huge one in the freelance world, particularly because it always feels like you can be doing more. You work hard and you need time off like anyone else, so don't forget to take it! I'd love to see what other tips and advice people may have too #seo #freelance #freelancer #seoconsultant
