"The recent $55 million grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to Blue Whale Materials LLC signifies a substantial economic boon for Bartlesville, Oklahoma, a city with deep roots as an Energy Community. This financial injection is poised to stimulate local growth by creating 150 permanent jobs and 180 construction jobs, thereby bolstering employment opportunities and fostering sustainable development within the state. A vital facet of this investment is the allocation of approximately $3 million toward workforce development and community outreach. This funding will be utilized to forge and expand partnerships with pivotal organizations, including the Delaware Tribe of Indians, Blue Star Recyclers, Tri-County Tech, and James Emmett and Company. These collaborations are expected to enrich the local talent pool, promote inclusive economic progress, and strengthen community ties. 🌳 Integrating green spaces into urban settlements 🌳 . We at Friends of Nature ( a young NGO founded in 2020 ) are on a mission to blend nature in our urban environment and work towards community well-being. Other than that we carry out - 1. Public outreach campaigns, where effects of climate change and ways to mitigate the same are being discussed. 2. Providing solutions and on-ground support for planning and execution of green spaces around accommodations, parking areas and other unused spaces. 3. Monitor growth of planted trees and assess the impact of our efforts. 4. Encouraging people to limit their carbon-footprint and install renewable energy sources for their homes.

Frontline Resource Institute is entering a new era! Our conceptual committee collaborated with me and fellow EDF staff to create a new strategic plan that will chart our course through 2029. FRI has built powerful momentum in a short time: from helping frontline organizations secure $138 million in federal and philanthropic funding to sharing resources and knowledge with a network of 400 frontline leaders. Now we must seize this momentum to ensure FRI can continue delivering results for the EJ movement, centering the work of frontline leaders and community-based organizations. The new plan aligns FRI’s efforts with a vision for a just, sustainable, and joyful future where frontline organizations are leaders, delivering environmental and climate justice for all. We know that the people closest to the problem are the closest to the solutions. By centering community voices, we have the power to bring climate and environmental justice to the center of the environmental movement. We are doing this for a reason: to welcome anyone who wants to take conservation action and make a tangible impact on Minnesota's outdoors. * Instead of tickets priced at over $100 a piece, we are selling them for $40 a person. * Instead of a fancy, seated affair, we are throwing a casual bash where you don't need to buy a new cocktail dress (unless you want to!). * Instead of exclusive, we want to be inclusive. * We'll continue to be informative! From clean water to pollinators, continuous living cover to tree canopies, volunteer events to goats: we'll share what Great River Greening is doing to make an immediate and positive impact on Minnesota's land, for the benefit of people, plants, wildlife, soil and water. This is a great opportunity for two levers that can really propel housing. 1. Job creation for electrification, data collection and data/incentive measurement. There is an important on-site role and a critical data management function. 2. Lower the cost of ownership with green financing.
