The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Khazanah have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing funding access for Malaysian mid-tier companies (MTCs) through Khazanah’s Dana Impak Fund. This MoU aligns with the SC's MSME and MTC Roadmap (2024-2028), focused on creating a more inclusive capital market ecosystem. Khazanah has allocated an initial RM500 million through Dana Impak to support high-potential MTCs. This initiative is part of Khazanah’s Advancing Malaysia strategy, promoting national productivity and global competitiveness by fostering future-ready industries. The partnership will provide incubation for 60-100 MTCs, capacity-building programs, and increased investments targeting this growth segment. Additionally, Khazanah will work with the SC to deliver market-based financing solutions and prepare MTCs for capital market readiness through programs like Elevate. This collaboration is set to drive significant contributions from MTCs, strengthening their role in Malaysia’s economic landscape.
