Yesterday we held our demystifying upgrading session with experienced CIPD upgrading assessor, Melanie Taylor. 💫 There were lots of questions and to mix things up a bit we invited Stuart Cranswick, Chartered FCIPD, who leads our strategic workforce planning (SWP) SIG for the branch, to share his experiences of upgrading. Stuart upgraded to Member via experience assessment, and then upgraded to become Fellow. 🔦 Melanie and Stuart's top tips!👇 🤔 Check you’re ready to apply, and wait if necessary 💡 Make sure that your experience is relevant and consistently demonstrated over a period of time 🚨 Make sure that you can demonstrate the impact of your contribution 💻 Read the candidate guidance on the website, including preparing your examples. Stressing about the new CIPD assessments? You can see the effect it's having on Timber (my dog, in the image below) 3 units are changing within the CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management syllabus, and they are ✅ 5HR01 ✅ 5HR02 ✅ 5HR03 The great thing about the new update is that they are reducing the number of ACs (Questions) in each of the assessments, so you no longer need to answer. ⤵ 5HR01 drops from 16 questions down to 10 ⤵ 5HR02 drops from 15 questions down to 10 ⤵ 5HR03 drops from 12 questions down to 10 This means the number of questions within the CIPD L5 is dropping by over units worth of questions 13, meaning there is probably no better time to start studying a CIPD qualification. If you want to gain qualifications and stay as chilled as Timber, I recommend starting this month when the new units come into effect. We also have a 15% discount on our CIPD One course.
