India's solar energy sector is set to grow significantly in 2024, potentially making India one of the top three global solar markets. The record achievement of adding over 10 GW of solar power in a month is a testament to the country's policy stability, effective supply chain management, and the successful execution of government projects. But the story doesn't end with energy production. This solar revolution acts as a catalyst for India's manufacturing sector, encouraging innovation and creating a multitude of job opportunities. The narrative gets even more exciting as India continues to weave itself into the fabric of US and Western supply chains. The growing solar industry is attracting foreign companies to establish manufacturing units here in the country. At the heart of this developing success story lies India's strengths — a vibrant domestic market, macroeconomic stability, and policy consistency. And the timing couldn't be more perfect. The rise of the solar sector coincides with India's demographic expansion — by 2030, we're expecting nearly 100 million new entrants into the working-age population. This solar tide could offer a wealth of employment opportunities to this growing workforce, fueling economic growth, and cementing India's position on the global stage. There is a lot to look ahead in this space. #IndiaManufacturing #RenewableEnergy #Solarpower
A new dawn (quite literally) for India’s commitment to solar energy. ☀️ Over 10 GW of solar capacity was added in Q1 2024, setting a record for our highest quarterly installation to date. It's a monumental 400% increase from the 2 GW installed in Q1 2023! Rajasthan and Gujarat are leading the charge in this large-scale solar installation, contributing 38% and 35% of the capacity additions, respectively. Kudos to our partner facilities who are enabling this massive shift. 👏🏼 #SolarEnergy #RenewableEnergy #IndiaGrowth
