Raise a hand if you’ve ever suffered from bloating 🙋 If your hand is up, you’re not alone! It’s estimated that around 18% of the worldwide population experience bloating at least once per week. While over-the-counter remedies are often sought for immediate relief, the journey to finding lasting comfort involves a deeper understanding of the causes and a holistic approach to address them. Here’s how I see most people trying to fix bloating: ❌ Over-the-Counter Remedies: While over-the-counter remedies can provide temporary relief by neutralizing stomach acid, they often only address the symptoms rather than the root causes of bloating. Additionally, they may not be effective for everyone, as bloating can stem from various factors. ❌ Quick Fixes: People often seek quick fixes for bloating, expecting immediate relief. However, bloating is often a symptom of underlying issues that may take time to identify and address. Relying solely on short-term solutions may not lead to a lasting resolution. ❌ Ignoring Dietary Habits: Some may underestimate the impact of dietary choices on bloating. Certain foods, such as those high in fiber, certain carbohydrates, or artificial sweeteners, can contribute to bloating. Ignoring the role of diet in bloating can hinder long-term relief. This is what it REALLY takes: ✅ Identifying Triggers: Understanding the specific triggers for bloating is crucial. This may involve keeping a food diary to track what you eat and noting when bloating occurs. Common triggers include certain foods, eating too quickly, or swallowing air while eating. ✅ Balanced Diet: Adopting a balanced diet that includes a variety of nutrient-rich foods can help prevent bloating. Fiber is essential for digestive health, but excessive consumption, especially if your body is not used to it, can lead to bloating. Gradual dietary changes may be necessary. ✅ Regular Exercise: Physical activity aids in digestion and helps prevent constipation. It can also reduce stress, which is linked to bloating. Incorporating regular exercise into your routine can contribute to long-term bloating relief. Ready to get support with your bloating? When despite your healthiest, most active efforts, you feel heavy... that time you know your periods are near🤷 That bloating sometimes makes us look 5 months pregnant😬 Although there are many factors at play, & remedies may be different for everyone, some nutritional changes can likely help to prevent bloating & weight gain due to pms🙃 ✅ most important thing is to eat right. not just before or during periods but in general you should lead a healthy lifestyle which can minimise your symptoms, in fact prevent it. ✅ consuming a highly-processed diet low in whole foods and high in chemicals and additives will increase your chances of suffering from bloating and weight gain during the PMS🤦♀ ✅ though you may be inclined to reach for carb-heavy comfort food, or salty & processed foods, but these can cause your body to retain water, resulting in bloating. not just this but you should avoid alcohol and caffeine too since they can make bloating worse. ✅ avoid eating too much salt. salt contributes to fluid retention, because it attracts water. ✅ drink plenty of water, the more water you drink, the more your kidneys will work to pass water. if you struggle to drink plain water, adding a slice of lemon or lime will not only cheer the drink up, but has also been shown to reduce fluid retention. ✅ foods which are high in potassium, such as bananas, can help reduce digestive bloating. you can have homemade yoghurt as well which is high in probiotics aids digestive system function. ✅ try having pudina water for bloating. soak handful of pudina leaves in water and drink that water throughout day. it does wonders. ✅ get moving. if you can, stick to your exercise, activity routine. stay active. ✅ most importantly do not take stress. do not freak out cz of weight gain. it's temporary but if you take stress it can further lead to weight gain (& this time actual weight gain🙊) weight gain & fluctuation during your period is totally normal. But following these easy steps will definitely help you🤗 #weightloss #weightlosstips #stayhealthy #healthyliving #healthylifestyle #winfitwithvinali #vinalidate
