Value-Based RCM joins the Lung Cancer Foundation of America in observing World Lung Cancer Day, focusing on the fight against lung cancer through early screening. Due to the absence of noticeable symptoms, lung cancer is often diagnosed when it has already spread beyond the lungs. Treatment options for patients largely depend on the stage at which the cancer is detected. Visit the LCFA for more details on World Lung Cancer Day and how early detection can save lives : https://bit.ly/4bSHGRg

Is kidney cancer curable? It is hard to say kidney cancer is curable or no without knowing cancer stage, is it spread other parts of the body or not. It is assumed that early stage cancer is always has a chance to be cured. If the cancer is not spread to other parts of the body, if the cancer is detected at the early stage, if the proper treatment is taken then there is possibility of cureness. There are some treatment available that can not treat fully but can help to stop growing cancer cells further. Axitinib is one of that targeted kidney cancer therapy. visiti our site to know more about kidney cancer you also can order kidney cancer medicine from here. https://lnkd.in/gmMHxhKZ

Just a quick update on Pancreatic Cancer outlook in This year, more than 800 British Columbians will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Its projected that only 10 per cent (or 80 of those people diagnosed) will live five years. Pancreatic cancer is difficult to detect at an early stage and is often resistant to treatment. Although it is the tenth most common cancer in Canada, it is the fourth leading cause of cancer death. Unless more effective treatment strategies are found, pancreatic cancer in Canada is projected to become the second leading cause of cancer death by 2030.

According to the American Cancer Society, Lung Cancer is the Leading Cause of Cancer Death in the United States. 🫁 About 80% of lung cancer deaths are thought to result from smoking 🫁 Lung Cancer accounts for about 1 in 5 of all cancer deaths 🫁 Screening with low-dose CT can help detect lung cancer at its earliest stage, resulting in better outcomes Low-Dose CT is a quick and painless screening tool that uses low doses of radiation, comparable to a mammogram, to make detailed images of your lungs. These images are used to detect lung cancer at its earliest stages. https://lnkd.in/gmHkqEVN

This is the Faster Diagnosis Standard, one of the three remaining cancer waiting time targets that was introduced in April 2022 and only achieved once in February 2023. The standard is intended to ensure patients are diagnosed or have cancer ruled out within 28 days of being referred for suspected cancer, so that they can start treatment as quickly as possible. I am not sure of the value of having these cancer targets if action is not taken when they continuously fail. It is quite obvious that this target will continue to be breached without further resources and funding as part of a new cancer strategy and we will be reminded of the impact of delayed cancer diagnosis and treatment every time national cancer survival tables are published.

METASTATIC CANCER Metastatic cancer refers to cancer that has spread beyond the point of origin to other distant areas of the body. Metastasis is a word used to describe the spread of cancer. Unlike normal cells, cancer cells have the ability to grow outside of the place in your body where. they originated. When this happens, it's called metastatic cancer, advanced cancer or Stage IV cancer. The most common sites for cancers to metastasize include the lungs, liver, bones and brain. Other places include the adrenal gland, lymph nodes, skin and other organs. Some people will have minimal or no symptoms of metastatic cancer. In most cases, metastatic cancer is not curable. However, treatment can slow growth and ease many of the associated symptoms. #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinking #snsdesignthinkers

August 1st is Lung Cancer Awareness Day. Did you know that 1 in 16 people will be diagnosed with lung cancer in their lifetime and that 5-year survival is 10 times higher for people diagnosed with localized versus metastatic disease? Early detection is a critical tool to help combat the devastating impact of this disease. At Mercy, we are proud to be developing the Mercy Halo Lung Cancer assay; a high performance, blood-based test designed to detect lung cancer at its earliest stages, when it’s most treatable. To learn more about our research on the early detection of lung cancer please visit www.mercybio.com To learn more about current methods for lung cancer screening, visit https://lnkd.in/dZM9D6SY #worldlungcancerday #lungcancer #lungcancerawareness #cancerresearch #mercybio #earlycancerdetection

Helping people with permanent and fixed term contracts. A firm believer in service over targets! 01635 916922
Raising awareness - please share far and wide. Picking up a bowel condition of any form early is crucial. Never fully realised how debilitating/life draining the UC disease is to live with, until unfortunately someone close to me got diagnosed - totally life changing and incurable! With adaptations you can help towards having less of the worst days. If you are not aware, please make yourself aware - knowledge is key! Especially when it comes to managing health conditions in the best way you can.
Bowel cancer is a treatable cancer, if caught early enough. This is why the NHS bowel cancer screening kits are so important❗. The kits arrive automatically in the post when you become a certain age (depending on where you live in the UK). They can detect signs of cancer before you even know anything is wrong. To find out more about the UK's screening programme for bowel cancer and when you might receive your first screening kit in the post, click here: https://lnkd.in/dHETYY_P
