First building of the Academic Cluster … the challenge was to naturally ventilate the 12 floor high Atrium ! This is achieved through carefully designed double high public spaces open to elements. These spaces houses cafeterias and interaction spaces for students and faculty. These open punctures in the building traps NE and SW wind which pushes through the atrium. When the cluster is completed, the mid level public space would connect with all the buildings and create a horizontal public movement / activity space for 50% of the population in the Sixth and Seventh level.
