Office of Naval Research’s Post

Office of Naval Research reposted this

Bravo Zulu to Bryson Potts, Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division mechanical engineer! Bryson volunteers as one of our #NavyLab’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (#STEM) mentors for future scientists and engineers, and he was featured in the latest Office of Naval Research International SeaPerch Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Competition article. The event featured more than 170 competing teams of elementary, middle and high school students from around the globe. Bryson competed in this event as a high school student and it drove his career. He and Joseph (LJ) Earnest, NSWC PCD mechanical engineer, are also transitioning into a more prominent role to plan and coordinate our regional SeaPerch competitions, and attending this international competition was a great way for them to learn how to improve our local program. Thank you for investing in our nation’s future, Bryson and LJ! #NAVSEA #scientists #engineers
