A stronger and more empowered civil society means better services for people, stronger voicing of their needs, and a more balanced representation of public interests in the formation of decisions that affect us all. It means, in a nutshell, a more democratic and inclusive Europe for years to come. Riccardo Rossella, Civil Society Europe (CSE) illuminates why a stronger civil society sector makes a stronger Europe in our latest Opinion piece. Read it here! https://bit.ly/45X4xsB

Typically, the volunteer journey at PMI begins while preparing for the PMP certification or some other PMI certifications. It’s there that you discover volunteering and how you can make a difference by supporting others while enhancing your project management skills. The next step is becoming a chapter leader, where you’re tasked with managing an organization – an incredible experience, especially if you’re not yet part of a board at your workplace! It’s a journey filled with challenges and learning that I highly recommend undertaking, as it impacts the lives of others whom you can put names and faces to, as well as your own life. Once you embark on this journey of serving others, there’s no turning back. PMI-Central Illinois Chapter

Delighted to be attending this Mills & Reeve sponsored networking event on Wednesday 6 December at the British Library, where we will be joined by Orlando Fraser KC (Chair of the Charity Commission) and Baroness Lola Young of Hornsey OBE. Looking forward to exploring and discussing a range of cultural governance issues including: 1. Philanthropy- how to optimise incentives and opportunities; 2. Trustee accountability in a complex and uncertain environment; 3. The politics of good governance - against a backdrop of political uncertainty; and 4. Restitution and Regulation.
