Crossing the Chasm in #deeptech and #hardtech! It is a well-known #challenge for #founders that getting past the early adopters is complicated and it is as this stage where many fail. This challenge is only compounded when you are bringing #technology out of a #research setting. 🔬 Traditional #universities focus on the early steps of the Technology Readiness Level or TRL staircase as this is what covers the academic discoveries, whereas industry predominantly adoption is at higher TRLs 🧐 Carlos Meliá Christensen thank you for pointing me towards this obstacle in tech. At DTU - Technical University of Denmark we have built over a decade our internal venture builder called DTU Skylab with participation from industry like BioInnovation Institute and Villum Fonden. There are also external #venturebuilders but what is their role at the university? I see them as 🌉 between research and industry which could help stimulate #growth and #innovation. This unique junction of talent, know-how, market access and capital. Nordicap Corporate Finance Stride Partners PSV Zenia W. Driving technological breakthroughs 🚀 At the heart of every startup is a mission - one that fuels innovation, drives progress and shapes the future. Our mission is clear: to provide the best light detection solutions to enable technological breakthroughs. Believing in our technology is where it all starts. But belief alone isn't enough. Dedication to continuous improvement is key. We must be committed to refining, testing and improving our technology. Each iteration brings us closer to perfection, making our solutions more robust, efficient and impactful. In just the last two years, our Dena single photon detector series has evolved at an astonishing pace. This rapid evolution is a testament to our dedicated team of experts who pour their passion and expertise into every detail. In the fast-moving world of technology, to stand still is to fall behind. We need to be curious explorers, always looking for new possibilities and embracing the lessons that come from uncharted territory. Looking back at what we've achieved makes us incredibly proud, but we're even more excited about what's yet to come. We can't wait to share the next steps of our journey with our growing community here. Pixel Photonics #snspds #redefiningphotondetection #deeptechstartup #startupgrowth #quantumtechnology

I am thrilled to share that Waymaker Group has entered into a transformative partnership with MIT's The Engine Accelerator to serve the National Science Foundation (NSF). Through this partnership, we'll work together to empower awardees with the resources and support necessary to turn groundbreaking technology research in semiconductor design and manufacturing; quantum; regenerative medicine; and wind, hydrogen, and next-generation battery energy (to name just a few), into reality. Why is this important? Over the next three years, NSF's commitment of $9.5 million in funding will be at the forefront of creating robust innovation ecosystems. This initiative will span 18 states and support ten regional coalitions to catalyze meaningful economic and technological growth. This is more than a project for us at Waymaker. It's the culmination of our belief in the power of innovation to drive economic equity and transform mid-market cities across America. It is also the chance for us to leverage our boots-on-the-ground experience over the last decade to help emerging regions identify and source funding and implement proven strategies that drive inclusive growth.
