With students officially back in school this month, our K-12 education program is working to provide educators with the resources they need to teach their students about the vital role of Oregon's forests. Our latest quarterly e-newsletter for K-12 teachers, "Forestry for the Classroom," offers a wealth of resources, including professional development opportunities, to help educators develop engaging and informative curricula for their students.

If you're finding more locked gates on private timberland that's normally open for recreational access, it's likely "in reaction to the ever-increasing incidents of offensive littering, abandonment of vehicles, theft of forest products, and acts of criminal mischief," according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
