Ogle Models & Prototypes Ltd’s Post

One of the 3D printing processes we use here at Ogle is Selective Laser Sintering, or SLS, which sinters polymer powder layer by layer to form a 3D part. This is suitable for producing both one-off prototypes and production parts at volume. No supports are needed, so complex geometries can be produced cost effectively – as many parts can be produced quickly without the need for expensive tooling. The advantages for this process include the durability of the created objects, the speed and the reduction in waste compared to subtractive manufacturing. It is suitable for medical, food and aerospace applications – we used it on the Mars Rover, for example. If you think SLS may be for you, we’ve got more than 20 years of experience with it.
