Good afternoon colleagues. As a recently graduated PhD student in synthetic organometallic/organic/main-group chemistry with nearly a decade of experience, I'm quite familiar with the hardships that come from pursuing synthetic chemistry research. If you are struggling to get that compound to crystallize, or to get that pesky impurity out, or to reproduce that vague published procedure, I want to assure you that there is a way forward despite how hopeless the situation may seem. I am in the process of building an eight-module online chemical synthesis course and was curious to hear/read your thoughts: Are there any specific topics in synthetic chemistry you wish you knew more about? What issue(s) are you struggling with at the moment? I thank you in advance for your opinion, I want to make a truly great resource. It would mean a lot to me if you could share this with other people that you think would benefit from a resource like this. The more feedback the better. Feel free to join my community below and ask technical questions. I'll do my best to help out in the meantime. https://lnkd.in/gwg6nj6h

Thank you very much for the 163 participants of our recently concluded webinar! We are very pleased to be of help to everyone who is curious to learn. Truly the basics should never be overlooked - especially in the tough decisions that we do. Please stay tuned for our upcoming webinars as well. #testingforlife #uncertainty #chemicalanalysis
Hello Colleague, It is important to note that despite all of the technological advancements in chemical analyses, sample preparation remains a critical step in providing a truly representative result. In this webinar series entry, everyone is invited to refresh their knowledge on the different ways to prepare a sample prior to analysis. This also includes recommendations and requirements from preexisting standards or experiences. You are invited to our upcoming Webinar: "Sample Preparation - A Practical Approach" to be held on 16 February 2024, 2pm to 3pm PH time. Simply scan the QR code of the event poster to register, or use this link: https://lnkd.in/gS9Q_Y6d Thank you very much and see you there! #testingforlife #chemistry #samplepreparation

Considering converting from batch to flow synthesis? For many chemists, batch synthesis has inherent limitations, including scalability, productivity, safety, and environmental concerns. Consequently, many research chemists we speak to are considering moving over to flow chemistry techniques, especially in applications where greater efficiency, safety, and sustainability are desired. Our new article offers an in-depth exploration of the benefits of flow chemistry and the transition from batch synthesis. It also touches on the economic considerations including how flow chemistry can lead to cost savings while freeing up capacity for additional production and revenue streams.
