Governor DeWine, Ohio Expositions Commission members, staff, and supporters gathered yesterday to honor retiring General Manager Virgil Strickler. A bust of Virgil, generously gifted to the Fair by longtime supporter Mark Kvamme, was unveiled during the event and will be a permanent fixture in Kasich Hall to honor Virgil and his 30 years of service to the Ohio Expo Center & State Fair. Mark Kvamme said it best, "After 30 years, it's not the Ohio State Fair without Virgil. Virgil can never leave this Fair."

If someone were to ask us, “So, how did CERSAIE go?” What should we say? Perhaps with a bit of bravado, we’d say it went well. It’s almost obligatory, after all — with nearly 100,000 visitors, would we ever dare say we didn’t find anything good? Of course not, especially considering the amount of time, resources, and financial effort our partners put into setting up their booths and all the extra events outside the fair. So yes, it went well, actually very well! But in reality, we measure it after some time, sometimes even after a few years. For example, a visitor who carefully studied a machine might come back later asking for feedback and then disappear. One day, maybe even a long time later, they come back and say, “I’m ready to proceed.” For us, the fair is successful regardless, as it remains a unique opportunity to meet and showcase many solutions that we wouldn’t have the chance to present during regular client visits, or to receive visits from potential clients who would otherwise be difficult to contact! And yes, it’s true, besides our partners’ booths, there’s also plenty of competition at the fair — but that’s another story. Honorable mentions go to @sigma Eterno Ivica Ferrari & Cigarini srl FILA Solutions Atlas Concorde Granulati Zandobbio SpA Santamargherita 📹 Alberto Davoli Lorenzo Braglia Davide Braglia Osvaldo Spadoni Chiara Binini

𝗜𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰? 💸 Nowadays, you can easily spend four to five figures on a fair stand. 🤯 On top of that, you have to consider preparation, on-site work, materials, and much more. And then there's the fact that you're just one of many exhibitors, while here too the motto seems to be: higher, faster, further – a battle of superlatives to stand out from the crowd. A lot depends on the number of visitors and the visitor flow in the exhibition halls. ➡️ Wouldn't it be better to invest this budget in other forms of marketing? A difficult question. But one thing I am sure of: in times of hybrid work & online events, personal contacts still pay off! 🙌🏼 We at IQONIC.AI have found a clear path for ourselves when it comes to fair exhibiting: 🤝 We thrive on enthusiasm for joint topics, and even more so does our product – that's why we exhibit together with our partners. 🔎 Events have to be chosen wisely – criteria include the target group, other exhibitors on site and the overall concept of the fair. 💭 Good fair appearances need the right preparation – Who is attending? What synergies can be created? What materials will we need on site? Of course, there is a certain amount of risk involved in investing in a trade show. But we are sure that if we take the above points into account, we will always get much more out of it than by cold outreach alone. 🚀 That's why our big events of the year are coming up this month: Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, #TopHair & #BeautyDüsseldorf. We are really looking forward to them! Who will we meet there? How do you handle it: continue to book booths or invest the money elsewhere? #fair #exhibiting #aussteller #messestand PS: Thanks to Marco Podavka for the content inspo!
