What are the pro’s and con’s of resubmitting bids? The considerations are numerous and the timelines are tight. Generally, organizations should consider their risk tolerance and how to balance of their current product design with its position in the market.

CMS sent out the below memo to all impacted Stars contracts clarifying that bid submissions are permitted, but they are not required. 😯 #medicareadvantage organizations are asked to confirm no later than COB on June 24 of their intention to resubmit a bid or to opt out of the resubmission. CMS reminds plans that if they opt out of resubmitting, the original QBP will be in effect for all ancillary purposes related to Star Ratings.

Supply Chain Director, Head of Supply Chain - North of England incl. Yorkshire, Lancashire & Derbyshire. Multi-Channel, Logistics, Supply Chain, Strategy & Transformation.
Sharing a scenario (pro-bono) that some of you may know about but some of you may not. A genuine case of "you only know what you know"! This might prove useful to any newly MCS accredited businesses. Today I attempted to claim our first BUS voucher after a superb install by one of our partners. The installation was registered on the MID and all that goes with it - text book application, or so I thought. I received what were seemingly standard emails stating that the voucher had been approved and that my next steps were to 'redeem'. From the govt website, that 'redemption' stalled as the process indicated that we needed a new EPC as the current one had recommendations for 'Cavity and Loft' when clearly it didn't. I rang the general enquiry line, got through straight away, spoke to a very helpful and knowledgeable chap who confirmed that there was no reason why the redemption process should ask for that as he also confirmed there were no recommendations on the current EPC for voucher redemption stipulated upgrades. He swiftly raised a case with the redemptions team and told me to sit tight until I received an update via email after they have resolved the glitch. Interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this? P.s. I've heard all the stories of the woes of 'compliance versus competence' and how 'long-winded' things are so I'm really only interested in your views on this specific scenario. Thanks.
