Learn about Hajj!

Hajj season has started which is the greatest show that all humans are equal regardless of their color, wealth, and ethnicity.......so let's reflect on the learning which Malcom X had shared after his Hajj Pilgrimage specially with the people of America...... Malcolm X's Hajj Journey "All humans of all colors and ranks are equal" “During the past seven days of this holy pilgrimage, while undergoing the rituals of the hajj [pilgrimage], I have eaten from the same plate, drank from the same glass, slept on the same bed or rug, while praying to the same God—not only with some of this earth's most powerful kings, cabinet members, potentates and other forms of political and religious rulers —but also with fellow‐Muslims whose skin was the whitest of white, whose eyes were the bluest of blue, and whose hair was the blondest of blond—yet it was the first time in my life that I didn't see them as 'white' men. I could look into their faces and see that these didn't regard themselves as 'white.' “Their belief in the Oneness of God (Allah) had actually removed the 'white' from their minds, which automatically their attitude and behavior toward people of other colors. Their belief in the Oneness of God has actually made them so different from Ameriican whites, their outer physical characteristics played no part at all in my mind during all my close associations with them.” https://lnkd.in/gB3Sg3sH https://lnkd.in/gwXVaaSj

Going on a Pilgrimage? Let's define pilgrimage for you first. A pilgrimage is a special trip, especially a long one to a destination that has spiritual significance. The "spiritual significance" part could mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Some of the places I have traveled to on pilgrimages are certain historical sites around the country, cemeteries, churches, temples, Indian mounds, historical bed and breakfast houses, light houses, caves, grottos, shrines, war memorials, obelisks, mines, etc. Why would you plan a pilgrimage? Because the location may have special meaning to you or you may be seeking guidance or you may want to have a special ceremony there, etc. When I have gone, sometimes I go alone and am seeking guidance. Other times I have gone with a sacred partner seeking dual guidance and life direction or to perform a rite. Perhaps you have an important life decision to make and you would rather go some place spiritual to make it, rather than taking some notes while crying on your bed at night. Maybe you are seeking a miraculous healing for yourself or a loved one. Perhaps you seek rejuvenation, transformation, rebirth, endowments, enhancements or full on recreation? My pilgrimage experiences have always been remarkable, to say the least. When I tell folks about it they are always amazed! They are like...how cool is that! We just usually go to Sturgis and call it good?!? (To each his own I guess!) Are you a seeker searching for answers? Contact me. *Sai Inspires Apr 01, 2024* As people plan for vacations, pilgrimages and visits to temples, what are the important aspects to keep in mind? Bhagawan lovingly reminds us today. You go from place to place like postal parcels, collecting impressions on the outer wrapper, not on the core of your inner being. A blind man going places is not worried whether it is night or day. So too, you do not differentiate between one temple and another. You behave equally unconcerned, equally sense-centred in all places. You do not allow the holiness of the sacred place to act on your mind. As a result of pilgrimage, your habits must change for the better; your outlook must widen; your inward look must become deeper, and you should become steadier. You must realise the omnipresence of God and oneness of humanity. You must learn tolerance and patience, charity and service. After the pilgrimage is over, you must determine to seek, sitting in your own home and ruminating over your experiences, the higher, richer and the more real experience of God-realisation. I bless you that you may form that determination and, striving step by step, achieve that Goal. - Divine Discourse, Feb 28, 1964. *Only non-attachment can grant supreme peace. The company of the pious and visits to holy places and holy people promote that attitude and habit. BABA*
