Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services’ Post

Governor Mike DeWine kicked off the H.B. 2 Capital Budget Bill signing by once again highlighting his commitment to prioritizing mental health. This bill will support his goal of enhancing Ohio's behavioral healthcare system. With this budget, OhioMHAS will build a new mental health hospital in the Miami Valley, adding over 200 beds and featuring designs to promote patient recovery through evidence-based practices. The budget also funds improvements for Ohio's six hospitals, more recovery homes, and expanded youth centers to build resilience and connection among young people.
