There are a lot of issues that have to be resolved to scale EV usage in the US. An EV as a product has to be significantly better than the ICE alternative in every way that is important to a consumer. One of the issues is charging infrastructure. There are four ways to improve EV charging infrastructure according to the article I've linked in the comments. 1. Reduce or eliminate demand charges. 2. Cap the total per-kWh monthly energy costs for low-use stations. 3. Install co-located batteries to help manage peak demand. 4. Manage EV charging during peak periods.

One of the most common questions when thinking about switching to an EV is; "How much range can I get on a full charge"? 🤔 Well, that depends... Battery size, which is measured in kilowatt-hours, is a key factor in determining an EV's range. A larger battery means more energy storage, which translates to more miles on the road. 🔋 For example, a car with a 50 kWh battery and an average efficiency of 5 km/kWh could reach a range of approximately 250 kilometers. However, there are other factors to consider: ▪ Power output ▪ Driving style ▪ Weather conditions More range is great, but what about charging? Larger batteries take longer to charge. 🔌 Here’s a quick rundown for a 50 kWh battery: ▪ Home outlet: 2,3 kW - 22 hours ▪ Home 11kW charger: 11 kW - 4.5 hours ▪ Public AC charger: 11 or 22 kW - 4.5 - 2.5 hours ▪ Fast DC charger: 50 KW - 1 hour ▪ Ultra Fast DC charger: 150 KW - 20 minutes (if EV support this type of power) If you're thinking of shifting to an EV, or maybe you already have one, make sure to check out Reduxi!⚡🚗 An electricity management system that will help you optimize your charging hours for maximum efficiency and savings!🤯 Sounds good?
