There aren't that many recruiting hills I'm willing to die on but this is one of them. The absolute best recruiting partners are thinking 6-12 months ahead (if not more). I very intentionally wrote my tagline "I build the teams that build the satellites" because that is EXACTLY what I strive to do every single day. Of COURSE the transaction of recruiting matters - opening roles, moving candidates through the process, making excellent offers and helping new folks onboard - but I'm here to BUILD. 🚩 Red flag for a small development and/or investment firm -- little revenue and no plans to change the business model In order to hire the best talent - you need to either: 1) Be growing like a rocket 🚀 2) Have viable plans to grow like a rocket If you've been running a small firm for a long time, haven't had much financial success, and don't have plans to change what you're doing - it's going to be hard to find great talent to join you.
