Eurocorr 2024 in Paris is just around the corner, running from September 1-5. Dr Samir B. Ujam سامر بدري عجام, Diana Miller, Cristian Sergio Spica, Effy Kleniati and Deepti Ballal will be there, contributing to Europe’s premier corrosion event. Experience groundbreaking advancements in corrosion prevention with Deepti's session on “Modeling Localized Corrosion for CRAs in Geothermal Systems,” on Tuesday, September 3, at 5:10 PM in Room 341 (06). Discover how our innovative #corrosion analysis solutions can redefine safety and efficiency in your operations. Visit us at booth 25, where our experts are ready to demonstrate how our advanced solutions can help you predict and prevent corrosion effectively, enhancing your operational performance across the asset lifecycle.

Indicator of the week: Radioactive substances This core indicator evaluates the state of the environment using the concentration of the radioactive isotope caesium-137 (137Cs) in herring, flatfish (flounder and plaice) and surface seawaters. Good status is achieved when concentrations are below threshold values. Additionally, a target level was defined corresponding to concentrations measured before the Chernobyl accident in 1986, the point at which the Baltic Sea environment received the most significant contribution of artificial radionuclides. The indicator evaluation shows that the levels of 137Cs that reached the Baltic Sea due to the Chernobyl accident have decreased significantly and is at levels below the threshold value, thus indicating Good Environmental Status. Furthermore, in the latest years of the evaluation several monitoring areas have values that are also below the target level (i.e. now also achieving pre-Chernobyl levels). https://lnkd.in/gpEHQ-fH #HELCOMindicators #BSAP #HOLAS3

Water saturation is one of the areas I see #geoscience staff struggle to get a good interpretation. Check out this video to see how you can get started.
Water saturation and permeability are two of the most fundamental #petrophysical properties for #oilandgas #reservoir performance. Check out some of the options available to you in Danomics. An excellent day spent at the EI15 5th Edition Launch Event in Warrington. Almost 40 delegates present and lots of useful information on the new version including: * Additional information on gaseous and liquefied pure Hydrogen * Wider range of pressures modelled * Revised zones after modelling review * Revised approach to liquid pools * Updated guidance on Diesel fuel zoning * Updated guidance on mists * Improved approach to direct examples with additional explanation * Rationalised & updated area classification drawings Whilst many zones remain the same, there are some changes reducing some zones and slightly increasing others as a result of a thorough review of release modelling. The changes have significantly improved the guidance as well as adding valuable information on pure Hydrogen as distinct from Refinery Hydrogen. The direct examples in the guidance have been rationalised and additional information provided on the application. The 5th Edition is now available for purchase from the Energy Institute and is an invaluable guide to hazardous area classification and is widely applicable across a range of industries. Another similar launch event will be taking place in London towards the end of November.
