🎮 Progress Update: 2D Platformer Game Development I’m excited to share some recent progress on my 2D platformer game: New Features Implemented: -Added a menu and level selection panel in a new scene for smoother navigation. -Created a lobby system for level selection and implemented a level-unlocking mechanism for progression. -Developed logic for multiple enemies patrolling the same platform while ensuring they don’t collide with each other. -Introduced a fall state for the player, replacing the previous idle state during falls for better gameplay accuracy. -Utilized a singleton pattern to manage level-related conditions, such as saving data for locked or unlocked levels. -Added a game over panel with functionality for players to restart their current level seamlessly. -Designed a level completed panel to display after the player successfully finishes a level. -Improved the user interface flow, ensuring smooth transitions between gameplay and menus. Next Steps: -Enhancing level design to improve player experience. -Adding background music and sound effects to enrich the game atmosphere. -Balancing gameplay through rigorous playtesting. Acknowledgments A special thank you to my mentors—Mayank Grover, Ketan Shukla, Arindam Bharati—and the Outscal team for their invaluable guidance and support throughout this journey. I’ve shared a short demo video below and would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. #GameDevelopment #Unity2D #2DPlatformer #CSharp #GameCommunity

https://lnkd.in/dNtmsECX Need a partner for QA, consulting, data security, and/or design solutions? I have been part of and worked on nearly 50 projects since 2015 and after founding Grinberg Games Inc. in 2018 - I have worked with teams as a contractor, employee, and partner. My most notable experience in QA, testing, and consulting has been with EA, WB, Ubisoft, and recently animation, Unreal tech support, and UEFN development with Epic. On-call experience with their games also included outsourced projects through EA to companies like 343 and 2K. I've received glowing feedback for my thoroughness not just in handling gameplay but also assembling extremely thorough reports that note bugs, suggestions, and step-by-step feedback on how I would go about fixing an issue or implementing a feature in Unreal Engine as well as how that could be applied to the Frostbite Engine, Snowdrop, and any in-house engine. My experience with EA has concluded for the time being but I continue to support WB, Ubisoft, and indie development when opportunities arise - as well as tech consulting companies that outsource information to clients, such as Tegus and AlphaSights in the past. On top of that - I now also create officially licensed merchandise for Netflix, other companies, and DC with designs currently pending approval. And are you looking for an in-depth guide to Unreal Engine, game development, and the industry? Or a fantasy series? You can checkout my books on Amazon and soon through IngramSpark and 40k+ retailers. My next book will cover EVERYTHING coding, including a more thorough and focused guide to scripting in Unreal. Your vision is my priority and my expertise is improving your pipeline. If interested, please use the Contact Me form on my site or directly message me on Linkedin. Do not use the Linkedin Premium service request feature as I do not use premium at the moment and cannot respond. 🚀 Tile Placement System: Creating peronal game environtments 🎮 I’m excited to share a project I’ve been working on recently: a tile placement system that allows the creation of dynamic and flexible game environments! 🔥 This system is featured in some survival games like Fortnite, Ark, and Palworld, offering an intuitive and efficient way to build and modify the environment during gameplay. With it, players have the freedom to create structures and bases directly on the map, adding a new layer of strategy. 📹 Check out the video below to see the system in action! This is just the beginning! I’m eager to keep developing this project and explore new possibilities. 🔗 If you're interested in discussing this system further or collaborating, feel free to reach out! #gameDev #unity #levelDesign #gamedevelopment
