🚨🚨 We have an 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on data science for food processing and structuring! Significant gains can be made by embracing complexity in food production. Given the importance in food of structure on many different scales (from nm to cm), this complexity is not just in composition, but also in the positional arrangement and state of the components. Sets of relatively simple, automated characterization methods have to be developed that will enable us to generate larger data sets to characterize the foods we produce in a multifaceted way. Next to that, other methods to collect data, for example from literature data and through citizen science approaches, need to be developed. The collected data then need to be correlated using machine learning and other aspects of artificial intelligence to predict how food formulations and processing parameters will affect the final food structure. A further step will be to employ prescriptive AI to develop a system in which a data-driven optimization algorithm will steer an automated experimentation bench, to actively optimize the food assembly towards a particular target, such as low environmental impact, maximal nutrient density or low caloric value. As I begin to wrap up my First week at Feedonomics I'm floored by the caliber of humans I interact with on a day to day basis. Sharon Gee's energy and velocity, is like a train coming at you at full speed that makes you want to jump right on it and ride it straight to the moon. Matt Dornfeld is not only a fierce advocate for his team, he's brilliant and makes you want to reach to the highest heights. Probably why everyone has said, and I now can confirm, is "one of the best people managers in the game." Caitlin Dell'Orfano IS A FORCE. But now I’m eager to hand the reins to a new SciTech VP with fresh perspectives, outstanding leadership experience, and an ambitious vision for creating a world where alternative proteins are no longer alternative. [Final Project Data Anlaytics – Independent Study Campus Merdeka at GreatEdu] “If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse.” SIB at Greatedu opens the door to new insights in learning Data Analysis with expert guests, inspiring in-depth perspectives. Exciting challenges inspire enthusiasm to continue developing, with each step of the challenge bringing new knowledge. Meeting passionate friends not only enriches oneself through sharing knowledge, but also builds valuable connections. In our final project, we analyzed avocado sales in the United States. Apart from that, we also consider environmental aspects. With this statistical approach we observe trends and forecast organic avocado sales data in several regions. We implemented the Prophet algorithm to get potential sales of organic avocados and see the changes that occur by increasing sales of organic avocados. This final project was also completed by many parties involved in every process and discussion that occurred. I am zulfa chafidz nur as the lead of the project who manages the process and coordinates each part of the team, as well as analyzing the data. Nadillatul Ummah and Mohammad Hasan Tajuk Rizal who are analysts, are responsible for helping leaders analyze the impact on the environment, as well as Wahyu Nabila and Aulia izzatul Azmi who are responsible for creating visualizations of the results of the previous analysis.
