Had an interesting call with a potential client, a developer seeking a Quantity Surveyor. They've been searching for over 2 months without success. When I suggested a Teams meeting, as I'm not in Manchester this week, the client declined, insisting on an immediate conversation or none at all. I clarified our policy of only working with clients we've met, mirroring how we handle candidate CVs. The client abruptly ended the call. I wonder if her Directors are aware this is how she's representing the company and perhaps why they can't attract the right candidates. Connecting with the right recruiter can save you time and money in the long run. I'm interested to know if any other recruiters, whatever the sector, would work with a client who wouldn't meet them?
