This year’s company kickoff was unlike any other. We got a chance to host it in the old beach house where Flxpoint was born. Luckily for us our ole “lemon house” was recently converted into a private event space and was the perfect venue for a kickoff that featured a nostalgic theme looking at the evolution of the company. Fantastic day celebrating all the hard work of our amazing staff. What the team have achieve in Q1 is insane. When we set our targets for Q1, which would normally take some people years we all managed to pull together as a team and completely smash it! Top to bottom. Could not be more proud. 1. We migrated to a completely new CRM which is home to all our sites and 10s of thousands of assets Uptick - Fire & Security Software More on this, but this is one of the best moves to date. Total visibility of every site we maintain and every asset on those sites. THE DREAM! 2. Implemented a new dedicated cloud platform for staff appraisals, one on ones, career progression and so much more Actus Software has brought the team so much closer and makes D2 accountable for our promises on training, career progression and giving all staff a confidential platform to express themselves. 3. Set up ExpenseIn to better manage company expenditure, saving tons of admin time for all. Going live soon! 4. Hit record sales, turnover and most importantly profit for Q1. We now maintain approximately four times the number of assets we did last December while introducing 3 year contracts to existing clients. This provides stability for the company and also our clients. It means we can plan growth and investment back into staff and the company. 5. Refocused the departments and introduced some amazing new team members. The staff who have come in have helped the transformation. It goes without saying employment is the hardest, stressful and most painful part of creating a positive working environment. But it’s the most important and rewarding element of owning a company. Having the wrong staff can literally bring things to its knees. The team now have a clear focus and are all pulling in the same direction. BLISS! 6. Onto Q2 and planning the summer D2 day! BOSH. All of the above is amazing, insane progress, the commitment, the dedication, the list goes on. But it’s been HARD WORK. And hard work for everyone not just a few! Could not be more proud of everyone. I’ve not been this buzzing for a long time! We move on quickly to Q2 plans as we continuously strive to become the best company to work for and deliver for! Onwards and upwards! LE BOSH
What a day! Our D2IS day was an absolute blast, filled with adventure and unforgettable moments. It is so very important to bring the team together to boost morale, strengthen bonds, and say a massive THANK YOU for your hard work. All of which is essential for achieving shared goals and fostering a positive work environment. Huge congratulations to Jordan, our engineer, who won the day, even with the need of an eye patch! Thank you to Bake me a Gem for our D2 cupcakes. She is super talented and cakes are a tasty treat. We cannot recommend Outdoor Pursuits enough for orchestrating such an epic event! Rewinding to the most incredible evening at Moxy Boston for April Boston Networking Event w/ Mass Professional Networking. As I look back on the enriching conversations and invaluable connections made, I'm reminded of the incredible talent and passion that propels our industry forward. Being immersed in such a vibrant gathering of passionate individuals reignited my belief in the transformative power of community and collaboration. In a world where the weight of everyday rejections can sometimes dim our spirits, connecting with like-minded souls infused me with renewed energy and spurred me to push beyond my limits. A highlight for me was the diversity of backgrounds and cultures present. As a recent graduate diving into the realm of Data Analytics and attending my inaugural networking event, I initially harbored slight trepidation. Yet, those concerns evaporated upon encountering the warm reception and genuine interest from every corner of the room. Meeting individuals like Michael Ziebell, Ram Santhanam, LaQueen Arleen Battle, Rajeev Kumar, and David Gerth was a true highlight. Their willingness to share stories, offer advice, and extend support left an indelible mark, affirming that every voice, regardless of background or experience, has value and contributes to our collective journey forward. It was a reaffirmation that in embracing diversity, we not only enrich our own lives but also pave the way for a more inclusive and vibrant professional landscape. Big kudos to Jeffrey DeSocio for organizing such an event that fostered meaningful connections and ignited new ideas. Fenway Park was the biggest challenge we've ever had as an organization. Before the game, we had our Fans First chat with over 200 plus employees, players and cast members and I shared with the team how we could be our best in the moment. From Day 1, I've always believed in focusing on the fans first. But when facing real adversity, we often need more than just that mindset as our north star. We need to know how to put the fan first. What I've learned is that the greatest performers know how to slow things down. When things speed up, they can focus even better on what's in front of them in that moment. I shared how while we would have the most eyes on us we've ever had, it was the eyes right in front of us that mattered most. My goal was for everyone to take the extra time with fans, embrace the moments and truly be present. If we did that and focused on one fan at a time, everything else would take care of itself. After the game, I was truly proud of everyone on our team. I heard countless fans first stories and moments shared by our group and by fans all over social media. With every challenge, we get better and learn more. But who we are, what we stand for and the heart of this organization will never change.
