From Rejection to Success: How Our Team Landed the Perfect Candidate Today, we welcomed a new Procurement Manager to our client’s team, filling a role that had been open for almost 12 months. This achievement is particularly meaningful given the journey we’ve had. For nearly 8 months, I had ongoing discussions with the Human Resource Manager. After discussing the role, providing realistic market feedback, and a competitive salary range, they decided to go with another recruiter. We weren't their first choice—we might not even have been their second choice. But we were the right choice. About 2 months ago, they decided to give us the role. We submitted three strong candidates, and one of them secured the position after three rounds of interviews. This experience has reinforced some important lessons for us: 1️⃣ Persistence Pays Off: Staying in the conversation and providing value, even when we weren’t the first choice, ultimately led to success. 2️⃣ Trust in Our Expertise: We may not specialize in hospitality, but our deep knowledge and experience in supply chain recruitment proved invaluable. 3️⃣ My Team Came Through for Our Client: This was a team effort, and we filled this role almost immediately! I’m incredibly proud of our dedication and hard work. Proud of my team for their relentless efforts and proud of the trust our client placed in us. Here’s to many more successful placements! 🚀 Rachel Llanes Evan C. Melissa Hoegener #SupplyChain #Procurement #Recruitment #Teamwork #SuccessStory #Persistence #SCOPERecruiting

Do you struggle to find the right candidates for your job openings? 🔎💼 As a recruiter, I understand the challenges of sourcing the perfect candidate all too well. It's crucial to address these challenges head-on to ensure successful placements. One of the biggest hurdles clients face in the food manufacturing/FMCG industry is the sheer volume of skilled applicants. Clarity and specificity in job postings are key to attracting candidates who are genuinely aligned with the position. Market competition is another significant challenge. Top talent is in high demand, and companies face stiff competition to attract and retain them. Overcoming these challenges requires a proactive approach and a strategic partnership between clients and recruiters. By utilizing innovative sourcing methods, prioritizing cultural fit evaluations, and optimizing the hiring workflow, we can secure the ideal candidate for each position. #recruitmentinsights #recruitmentstrategies #findingtoptalent #vickerstockfood

As a job seeker, it's easy to become overwhelmed by the competitive job market. It's common to feel self-doubt or think you're unqualified when reading through demanding job descriptions, leaving you questioning your worth and potential. It is important to remember that job descriptions often list idealised requirements so believe in your unique skills and experiences, stay persistent, seek feedback and continue to hone your abilities. Your perfect role is out there. Don't be afraid to take the next step. Own your lane. #aemrecruitment #recruitmentagency #supplychain #procurement #qualityassurance

If your Director of Supply Chain role has been open for almost 12 months, there is a reason why! (🧮 cost of open position 🤔) - You don't let a candidate get away over $5k-$10k! - You don't let a candidate go through 7 rounds of interviews with glowing feedback at every stage, only to ghost that candidate! - Don't say you consider candidates from other industries but never interview any. Below are a few other reasons and most often it's a combination of those factors that keep roles open. 1) Your salary doesn't reflect market conditions/ it sucks! 2) Your requirements aren't realistic 3) The interview process is bad 4) Location (nothing you can do about that) 5) You are trying to find a unicorn Anything I am missing?

Nobody tells you how hard it is to get a job when you have two different majors. I had a job interview today for a Supply Chain role where the interviewer asked me do I prefer Information System and Technology or Supply Chain Management. My reply was I prefer both as they are interchangeably related nowadays and further explained why. I have realised most recruiters expect you to specialize in one career path, whereas times are changing. You need to equip yourself with qualifications that will land you a job as the job market is very tight. #recruitment #graduate

End-to-End Supply Chain Recruiter. Helping companies find talent to take their performance to the next level. Follow me for supply chain & career-related happenings.
Earlier this week I heard about a candidate declining a VP of Supply Chain offer since the company only gave the candidate 24 hours to decide. Also, the candidate thought that the company taking an entire month to go through the interview process was unnecessary. A couple of thoughts on this……………….. I have been critical of companies in the past about their hiring practices, but taking a month to hire a Director/VP/Chief Executive role is in most cases celebrated. With these types of positions, it is typical to go through 3-4 rounds of interviews. Everything from phone screenings to site visits, to personality tests, and gathering the appropriate leaders to interview candidates. Also if this is a global role, working out the logistics to get everyone on site can be a challenge. No grudges shall be held regarding this. However, giving a VP only 24 hours to decide on an offer is considered a huge red flag. Not only for executives, but anyone considering changing companies has a significant career decision to make. Even if an offer goes out to someone at the executive level, it can take up to a week for all sides to agree on base pay, bonuses, extra incentives, and other benefits. This is the taxing part where either one side is exhausted and could possibly bow out. Top recruiters are known for managing the offer period by keeping both sides calm, pushing decisions, following up, communicating pertinent information, and maintaining momentum during the whole process. At the end of the day, the hiring manager and recruiter want to get this deal done. Don’t put any additional pressure which would make the candidate think twice after taking several weeks to get this person excited about your organization.

This is why we do what we do ! Being a recruiter is one of the most unappreciated jobs. You have your ups and downs. You spend weeks, in some cases months, to find the right candidate for your client and just when you think it’s done, it all falls through. You have to pick yourself back up and keep going because you know that your job is very important, and there are clients and candidates that need you to show up every day. 💪🏻 One of the best ways to get encouraged and keep going is reading clients testimonials. The hard work speaks through clients and candidates. Our business is not just about making placements, it’s about building relationships. It’s about solving our clients and candidates problems and adding value. ✅ www.ally-search.com #testimonial #feelgoodfriday #recruitinglife #candidaterelationship #humble #clientsatisfaction #manufacturing #supplychain #packaging #talentsearch #professionalsearch #recruiting
