as the ageold saying goes, "It's not what you say but how you say it". Confidence and pacing are everything on cold calls. But also, to not get so focused on monitoring yourself and ensure you truly listen to what the prospect has to say. I have noticed that my cold calls are better when I can start the day with a semi-warm opportunity. Calling on a couple of existing customers, or heck, even vendors can get the ball rolling and remind you of why you do what you do. Just my 2 cents.
