The World at a global level began first to think about SUSTAINABILITY after the BRUNDTLAND COMMISSION in 1987. So actually In 1987, the General Assembly of the United Nations asked a multi-country committee to draw up a report detailing the impact of human activities on the environment. This working group was named the Brundtland Commission after the then Norwegian Prime Minister, Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland, who led this commission and drafted the Brundtland Report introducing for the very first time the concept of Sustainable development. After over 35 years of the SUSTAINBILITY agenda and the evolution of the SUSTAINBILITY journey, we still have such a long way to go. The Future in Green and Goal is Net Zero! However, how sustainable is the SUSTAINABILITY agenda in terms of our present day challenges and the hostilities of the wicked problems of Sustainability which are highly complex, contested and some what indefinitely defined? Join me and other Team members as we dare to find some practical lasting solutions to the problems of sustainability. Its an adventurous ride and promises to be fun at the same time. 😀
