Day 18: TFN Alumni Network The problems of education can't be solved solely by an individual, hence my commitment to stay connected to the TFNalumniassociation and my co-fellows who would join the association soon. This commitment would be in seeking and building relationships with the alumni associations, asking questions, and collaborating with the association to ensure that the Nigeria child has access to excellent education. #TeachForNigeria #TFNImpactStories #TFNLeaders #TFN2022Fellows #TFNSchoolLeaders #TFN2024Graduation #TFN2024GraduationCountdown

As of May 2024, the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria was estimated to be 18.3 million. This is a significant number, representing almost 20 percent of the world’s out-of-school children – one of the highest numbers in the world. As Nigeria celebrates 64 years of independence today, we honour a nation built on resilience, unity, and the potential for greatness. Yet, a critical issue remains at the core of our challenges—millions of Nigerian children are still deprived of quality education. This gap in education continues to hold back our progress. At 64 years, the dividends of democracy must be felt in every school, by every child, across every corner of Nigeria. Education is the foundation of our future, and systemic reforms are urgently needed to ensure that every Nigerian child has access to the learning opportunities they deserve. UDO FOUNDATION is committed to advocating for the rights of these children, and today, we call on all stakeholders—government, private sector, and civil society—to join us in building a Nigeria where education is no longer a privilege but a right for all. Let’s ensure that as we grow older as a nation, we also grow in providing equitable educational opportunities. #NigeriaAt64 #EducationForAll #IndependenceDay2024 #SDGs #QualityEducation #UDOFightsForChildren

Education Beyond Borders (EBB): A Lifeline for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education is the cornerstone of a just and equitable society, yet millions of children in Nigeria, particularly Almajiri and out-of-school children, are denied this basic right. Trapped in cycles of poverty, illiteracy, and vulnerability, these children face an uncertain future. CESi's Education Beyond Borders (EBB) Project is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at rewriting this narrative by offering free, inclusive, and transformative education. Our Vision The EBB Project envisions a Nigeria where every child, regardless of circumstances, has access to quality education. By fostering an environment that nurtures learning, growth, and empowerment, we aim to equip children with the skills and knowledge they need to shape their destinies and contribute meaningfully to society. Our Mission We are dedicated to reducing the out-of-school children population by creating sustainable learning opportunities. The EBB Project seeks to enroll and retain 5,000 children every 3 years in Nigeria providing a life-changing pathway out of poverty and exclusion.
