First, the Council approved Ordinance 2024-02. This ordinance renames the Leisure Services Department to the Parks and Recreation Department. Secondly, the Council passed Ordinance 2024-03. This ordinance amended Article II Art in Public Places of Chapter 14 of the Code of Ordinances. The amendment deleted the requirement of reporting any building permit for construction or reconstruction of a commercial structure to the City's Public Arts Committee, and it also deleted Section 14-36 relating to appeals and hearings.
