So long, ExperiRace! It's been quite a run. A year ago, we founded ExperiRace with a mission to revolutionize live broadcast for sport events. We believed every athlete is a hero who deserves live video broadcast regardless of how famous they are or the event they take part in. We built an app where people from the crowd could capture videos of participants, our AI would recognize them, and broadcast it personally to their friends and fans in real-time. We fell in love with this problem because participants in these events can't take videos of themselves, but they definitely want to share and cherish the achievements they worked so hard for. We started with running races, and runners appreciated the value we generated for them, and many of them were paying for it. Our challenge was finding a good product-market fit, or as I call it, problem-market fit. The people we were solving this problem for were not our customers, and the people who we planned to be our customers (race organizers or race timers) didn't see it as a big enough problem for them to spend time and money on. We needed more time to figure it out, but our time ran out. All we have now is an incredible year behind us, adding value to a lot of people and seeing how we made them happy. We developed an app, used AI to its fullest glory, and delivered live and personal broadcasts at scale. We got to do all sorts of things outside of our comfort zones that a five-person startup makes you do, with many successes and many failures. Now it's time to take all that learning and growth into new adventures and new problems to solve. So long, ExperiRace. This one is for all the runners who wished we could have nailed it: https://lnkd.in/d62XnF8e

I know this journey didn’t end where you thought you were going, but like you always tell me: it’s not the destination that matters- it’s the path we’re on and how much we enjoy it. ExperiRace was a wonderful ExperiMent of grit, resilience, and motivation, and it was a startup worth starting up. Take the learnings and push on - I’m rooting for you.

Congratulations to you and the team for running after a passion and creating something. The skills learned in created AI solutions for video and content creation from fans is a massive opportunity - but new things are super hard and super expensive. Best of luck to you and the legendary team in the next chapter.

Photo and video have struggled at this in racing for years - I worked on this in high quality free photo/video products for Pic2go and EnMotive. it's sad because it's such a cool product offering, but a combination off cutthroat pricing, availability of cheaper options, a lack of understanding by RDs, and a weak connection between sponsors and activations in racing in the US.. amongst COVID era budgets... Have made this a struggle.

Thank you for such an effort and for caring about the problems of runners and sportspeople.😞 I appreciate your work on it and the decisions you have made to conclude and share the learning from ExperiRace as a product leader. This is an inspiring example for product people. Good luck finding the next problem and as carefully assessing the fit to the right market as you did here. 🤞

The one time I tried ExperiRace brought a lot of joy and happiness to my family who could follow me on my big race while not being able to attend the event live. I'm sorry to hear you quitting this market, and wish you the best on your new adventure Omer Sharon & team!

Omer Sharon Impressive journey! It’s definitely not easy to find PMF to become a VC-backed startup, especially in this category. I’m sure you learned a ton of valuable lessons for your next ventures. Best of luck!
