Omni was delighted to collaborate with the Women in Engineering Society and support ISS Facility Services UK at an event last week that explored all aspects of EDI and Engineering. Mairead Wood and Matt Lawrence (BA Hons) emphasised the importance of addressing unconscious bias within an objective recruitment process. It was inspiring to learn about ISS's dedication to attracting and retaining more women in engineering roles, from early careers to inclusive recruitment practices. Debbie Dobson

🛠 It’s Women In Engineering Day (#INWED24)! Late last week, we hosted a brilliant event at Defra for our teams in Weybridge, discussing the critical role of diversity in the field of #engineering. The session was led by our Gender Balance ERG steering group, and we were also delighted to welcome our special guests — Tristan Holland from the Women's Engineering Society, as well as our recruitment partners at Omni. Together, we explored some critical topics — from the impact of #UnconsciousBias in keeping women out of engineering roles to the importance of expanding access to this career path through #apprenticeships.
