Did you know physical therapy is not just for adults? Injuries and physical issues that arise during the teenage years can be incredibly complicated to treat because adolescent kids’ bodies are still growing and changing constantly. As teens enter growth spurts, they can inadvertently cause stress on their new bodies because of the rapid change in their limbs’ length, center of gravity, and overall mass. 💪 Our therapists work with each patient to create an individual home exercise and conditioning program tailored to the changing bodies. #physicaltherapy #GrowingStrong #PTforkids

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy? YES! A 2020 study, “Psychotherapy at a Distance,” found that online video therapy, primarily for cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), has been as effective as in-person therapy. The study found that “remote therapy grants the therapist revealing glimpses of a patient’s home and life.” Interactions with children, pets, roommates and spouses that can be heard or witnessed while the individual is in their own personal space will be more genuine glimpses into that person’s world.
