A Friendly Suggestion to All Managers By Vandan Patel Hey Managers, Before you rush to hire that next batch of “fresh talent” 💼, can we pause for a moment? Let’s face it—hiring is the corporate version of speed dating, but with higher rejection rates. Instead of throwing cash 💰 at recruitment agencies or running behind the latest shiny resume, why not do something revolutionary like... oh, I don't know, figuring out why your current employees are leaving? 🤔 I mean, sure, onboarding new people gives you that dopamine hit, but spoiler alert: they’ll probably quit too. 😅 Maybe, just maybe, the core issue isn’t about “new blood” but fixing the actual problems that push your current talent out the door. You know, like leadership, toxic culture, lack of growth... the usual suspects. So, instead of repeating this endless cycle of Hire. Lose. Repeat, how about we get to the root of the problem? 💥 Here’s a wild idea: retain the people who already know your business! 🎯 Just saying. #LeadershipGoals 🏆 #EmployeeRetention 🚪#StopTheBleed 🩸 #RetentionNotRecruitment 🔄 #CoreIssuesMatters 📊 #FixTheSystem ⛔ #HireSmarterNotHarder 💡 #TalentRetention 🌟 #CorporateCycleRepeat 🎢

Hiring or promoting? The resume is just the start—it's about finding the spark that drives your business forward. Deciding who to hire or promote isn’t just about qualifications on paper, It’s about finding the right fit for your team and future growth. I’ve seen how choosing the right people can elevate a team and transform the workplace. It’s not just about skills, but about mindset. Look for people who are eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to the bigger picture. The right attitude can often outshine experience. A team player isn’t just someone who collaborates—they lift others up. When hiring or promoting, I always consider how someone will impact the overall team dynamic. Positive energy is contagious. Growth potential matters. Don’t just fill today’s role—think about tomorrow. Who has the ability to evolve, lead, and push the team forward? Values alignment is key. You want people who not only understand your company’s mission but are passionate about it. When they truly believe in what they do, that’s where the magic happens. At the end of the day, it’s all about finding the right people. When you hire or promote wisely, you’re building the foundation for future success. In my various recruiting roles I’ve never cared about.. ❌ career gaps ❌ that one small typo on your resume ❌ layoffs/transitions/pivots ❌ interview nerves What matters is your.. ✅ character ✅ potential ✅ willingness to learn and grow ✅ positive and uplifting presence for our team and culture Hiring and decision makers.. focus on what matters most. As leaders, let's redefine metrics. Let's bring humanity back to the hiring table. Let our recruitment decisions be guided more by heart and less by paper qualifications. Remember, skills can be taught, but character and potential, they're ingrained. Let's invest in people, not just positions. Let's look for lifelong learners, not just employees. Hiring and decision makers, let's shift our focus. Let's make a difference. We're not just building teams, we're shaping futures. So, let's focus on what truly matters. #hiring #jobs #careers #talent #hr #humanresources #people #culture #values #growth #business #strategy #hrstrategy #team #branding #leaders #leadership #linkedin #hiring #linkedinconnections #talentnexa #aach

Ever felt like a new hire didn't quite fit in, despite their impressive resume? At our "People and Culture" event, we discovered a crucial insight from Zakeera Vidler CFCIPD Vidler: "Don't hire for skills. Don't hire for knowledge. Hire for culture fit. If the culture fit is right, you can teach somebody anything." How do you ensure cultural alignment in your hiring process? It's all about work culture—creating an environment where shared values and mutual respect drive collaboration and innovation. When the culture fit is right, teams are more engaged, motivated, and effective. #PeopleAndCulture #Hiring #TeamBuilding #Leadership #GrowthMindset #Stories #HR #WorkCulture #EmployeeEngagement #CorporateCulture #TalentManagement #Recruitment #WorkplaceWellness #LeadershipDevelopment #OrganizationalCulture #HumanResources #BusinessGrowth #CareerDevelopment #TeamSuccess #WorkLifeBalance #EmployeeRetention

Tech Recruiter at Product Startups | B2B SaaS | Talent Acquisition Manager | Follow me for insights on tech recruitment, job search, GenAI, and corporate life hacks
Here’s my strategy for tackling the "Why Should We Hire You" question, focusing on these 6 core points: 🥊 Start with a strong opening statement to grab attention. 🥊 Back up your top professional quality with concrete numbers and a story. 🥊 Demonstrate your interest in the company through thorough research and relate it to your previous experiences. 🥊 Share a personal story that aligns with the company’s mission. 🥊 Emphasize your most unique attribute. 🥊 Finish with a touch of humor or showcase your personality. You should hire me because I’ve never shied away from challenges in my professional career. I firmly believe in the power of perseverance and that every challenge is an opportunity for growth (Point 1). For example, when our company faced a 20% decrease in successful placements, I spearheaded a new outreach strategy that not only recovered the deficit but increased successful placements by 30% within three months. This involved analyzing candidate feedback, revamping our outreach methods, and leading a team to execute it flawlessly (Point 2). What excites me about your company is your commitment to employee development and diversity. I’ve admired your initiatives since your launch of the inclusive hiring program and have implemented similar diversity practices in my previous roles. This passion for fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces aligns perfectly with your mission (Points 3 & 4). Additionally, my background in both corporate and nonprofit recruiting gives me a unique perspective, enabling me to bring innovative, cross-industry insights to this role (Point 5). I’m an avid reader, and one of my favorite quotes that I live by is: 'Success doesn’t come by just going the extra mile, it comes by charting new territories,' and this mindset will help me excel in this role. #Apoorvajindal #JobHunt #CareerTips #ResumeAdvice #StressRelief #JobSearch #CareerGrowth #RecruitmentTips #JobApplicationTips #CareerDevelopment #Resumewriting #AItools #Jobs #Hiring #Humanresources
