An effective operating model relies on clear, consistent communication across all levels to ensure everyone is on the same page. Poor Role Design – Vague or overlapping roles create confusion and hinder productivity. A well-designed operating model assigns clear responsibilities that drive accountability and success. High Turnover – Turnover disrupts continuity and knowledge transfer. A sustainable model needs to address employee retention and create an environment that nurtures growth and loyalty. Lack of “Culture” – A strong operating model integrates company culture into its DNA. Without a cohesive culture, teams may lack the motivation and alignment to pursue shared goals. Unclear Gravitational Pull – When there is no central guiding force in decision-making, teams can drift without purpose. A successful operating model needs a clear "gravitational pull" that drives focus, priorities, and strategic alignment.
