On high-performing teams, everyone is committed. There’s a unifying personal and team cause that catalyzes... With a crystal clear plan of ownership and accountability, people know what they’re tasked to do and to whom they’re accountable for that work. Without that unified cause, though, commitment wanes. When commitment wanes, teams perform poorly. Team members are less enthusiastic, even occasionally bitter.
