❓ WHO do you know that is a busy Surgeon? Then, maybe they can relate to Dr. Janet here, who came on the program we coach and LOST 62 lbs.!! 💥 Read below: "Can you believe I used to wear these pants?! And, honestly, they were snug! Well, here's my story. I was always in shape until I hit my mid 30's and then everything changed. I often would go all day long without eating until late in the evening, when I wanted to eat the entire kitchen. My day consisted of 2-3 cups of coffee while rounding, in surgery all day, meetings in the early evening....and home late. I was busy and the weight kept creeping up. One day I looked in the mirror and I could not believe how I ballooned up. I knew I needed to make a change! I started this program and it fit nicely into my busy schedule. I was impressed by the science behind the program, the medical credibility and the support of my coach. I lost 62 lbs and as a result, feel better in every way! In addition to weight loss, this program provides for positive changes in so many areas. I am now sharing this amazing program with my colleagues, patients, friends and family. This program is surely America's best kept secret" #Surgeon #GeneralSurgeon #Physician #doctor #DO #MD #HeatlhcareProvider #Healthcare #Health #PA #RN #CEO

Busy busy times! Chief Healthcare Scientist reporting for duty at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. Really enjoying meeting our highly skilled specialists in respiratory like Sam James and cardiology teams. More engagements booking in.. comms team, Clinical engineering, Strategy. Offering learning and myth busting to our Executives and Trust leaders. >No we are not medical doctors, but we might have pHDs. >Some of us see patients directly and others indirectly. >We all have recruitment and retention challenges. And it takes time for us to train and become qualified. Meanwhile in #POCT world.. >UKAS assessment is next week! Just a 20yr goal coming to real life! >Now we are right in the depths of the detail of our quality knowledge..digging deep into our processes to prepare to justify how we meet the standards. Never have I been more proud of the scientific knowledge of my team. >We have a real need to consider national harmonised approaches to the roll out of new #POCT services. Mature Pathology networks such as my own must help others bring in the resources they need to roll out new technology at pace to provide the best patient care. All of it has me run off my feet.. But loving the pace and mixture of roles. An exec engagement today complimented my energy - De.Li.ght.ed! #BringTheJoy #POCT #Pathology #HealthcareScientist #PowerShoesOn

Agree, critical testimony to hear. I think that we all can agree that the concept of an electronic medical record is great, and I love not having to wait for physical copies of MRI and CT scans, but the administrative burden that goes along with an EMR is significant. Documentation/coding requirements often also mean that a 10-page note when printed only has about 5 lines of worthwhile information and 9.5 pages of redundant information just copied and pasted from elsewhere into every single patient interaction.
Anthony DiGiorgio, DO, MHA testifying today at the United States Senate on "Reducing Paperwork, Cutting Costs: Alleviating Administrative Burdens in Health Care." Dr. DiDiorgio focused on the 1) the increasing administrative burdens on clinicians, 2) the role of CMS billing regulations and electronic health record mandates, 3) how more competition in healthcare can mitigate these problems. In September I celebrated 1 year at Novartis and I couldn't have summarized my experience better than a repost by Viet Le. A few things I've learned along my journey: 1. Feeling seen: the ability to show up as an authentic leader and contributor at a workplace that values diversity, innovation, being unbossed will propel individuals to perform at peak and for a greater cause: patients. 2. Navigating adversity: how a workplace rallies around not just professional but personal adversities demonstrates their investment in you. Sometimes, it is not about solving complex problems at work but about how I can get creative to coordinate work travel while being a mom and making sure my 2 year old still gets fed, picked up from daycare, etc. It takes a village and you realize how important work can be a significant part of that. 3. Collaboration: when we can all come together and align on simple questions such as “what is our shared priority” and “how do we better the lives of patients”, magic happens! We get creative, we embrace challenges, we leverage data, and we look at ways to change human behavior to improve care quality and outcomes. I'm looking forward to learning and leaning in on my journey here at Novartis. Thank you to everyone that's contributed to my onboarding! #HIT #EHR #ValueBasedCare #DataAnalytics #PatientExperience #PrecisionMedicine

Folks, I cannot tell you the happiness this brings me to have four people of #AAPI backgrounds on a Teams call together. I introduce you to three highly accomplished colleagues: Clement H., Kathleen Nguyen, and Jenny McDonald, Ph.D. CMD. 1) We discussed ways to help me improve delivery of cardiovascular care to my Utah community. 2) How can we leverage existing medical records to identify "at-risk" patients and "Proactive" to reach out, educate, and offer optimal guideline/evidence-based care? 3) How do we leverage that same EMR to improve appropriate screening, to calculate the risk, e.g., lipid panels, family history documentation, blood pressure documentation, etc.? I am proud to be a US Citizen and the opportunities that living here should provide to all people. I am also proud of my heritage, grateful for my immigrant family coming here, and happy to see how diverse and truly "melting pot" my country is. #Seen #VietNameseAmerican #PhysicianAssociate #healthcare #HIT #EMR #cardiology #Proactive #VBC #ValueBasedCare Intermountain Health Utah Academy of Physician Assistants American Academy of Physician Associates Novartis Academy of Physician Associates In Cardiology
