Institutional Digital Assets Compliance and Risk Management

Hats off to the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) for being one of the first regulators to provide comprehensive guidance on the tokenization of Real-World Assets (RWAs). The JFSC’s proactive approach to regulating this new asset class sets a new benchmark in the regulatory landscape, and offers much-needed clarity for token issuers and stakeholders in the Tokenized RWA space. By addressing crucial aspects of regulatory compliance, investor protections, and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements – and making it very clear through written guidance how issuers and other participants in the space can comply – the JFSC is leading the way in creating a secure and innovation-friendly global environment for digital assets. 🚀 As one of the early movers in this area, the JFSC is not only fostering trust and confidence in the market but also helping shape the future of finance. A big round of applause for their forward-thinking approach! 👏 https://lnkd.in/gS3iSsE8 #PioneeringRegulation #DigitalAssets #Tokenization #Innovation #FinancialServices #JerseyFSC #Blockchain #Fintech #CryptoRegulation #Compliance

Thanks for sharing this news Chris! Walkers supported the first tokenisation platform in Jersey, and are currently working on many more, and we are well placed to help clients navigate the Jersey regulatory landscape for tokenisation projects. We also work seamlessly with our colleagues in our global fintech team doing similar projects under Cayman, BVI, Bermuda, Guernsey and Irish law

Glad to see a regulator taking a friendly approach and actually providing a bridge for the rails to follow. Could you imagine what the world would be like today if regulators had put up walls, tolls and or hurdles for networks to connect with each other. Just traffic jams to buy on Amazon. We would still be going to Blockbuster to pick up our movies. Investing would also be far more expensive since order tickets would still be sent through the tube. (Now I am definetjy dating myself!!)
