This is an outtake of a video for the team this morning. Starting the day on my allotment coincided with the weekly team business roundup. Every week I film a very rough and ready short video to update the Your Own Place CIC team on anything really important. As a team almost as invested in #socialenterprise as I am, they request (aside from my weather and allotment updates 😉) specific news about income. This usually falls into three categories: - exciting new business - opportunities we have not been successful in - delays, changes in direction and horizon scanning For me it’s a neat way of updating the team who can watch at their leisure and feel connected to the work I do that enables them to make the difference that they do. #friday #team #communications

Attention Commercial Real Estate Agents!! I am excited to share the perks of joining a real estate team! Collaborative efforts amplify market knowledge, widen networks, and enhance skill sets. 4 Advantages of Joining a Real Estate Team: 1. MENTORSHIP Your team lead has a vested interest in you and will go above and beyond to ensure your success. 2. CREDIBILITY Name recognition and credibility can take years to build. On a team, you can piggyback off of the other agents' hard work and the trust that they’ve built over the years. 3. COLLABORATION Real Estate is very competitive and unlike when you’re trying to build your business by yourself, teams are very supportive and help each other out as much as possible. You can learn from each others' mistakes 4. ACCOUNTABILITY It’s easy to slack off and not meet your goals when there is no one to help you keep the goals you set. Regular meetings and team discussions can help encourage you to stick to a plan- encouraging faster results and increased productivity. The Nianouris team is always looking for new talent. If this interests you, please give me a call at 937-470-0046! Elevate your real estate journey by joining a dynamic, results-driven team!

Wow 9 years here at Two Fish Creative and I can’t be more grateful for the fact we made it this long and continue to be a healthy thriving company with an all star cast. I’m most proud of well….all the personal growth I’ve had and all the amazing projects we have built for our clients. 9 lessons from 9 years: 1. Never stop learning - or reading books both have helped me immensely and I cannot understate that “knowledge is power”. 2. Go to Therapy - seriously it’s made me a better boss, negotiator, partner and more, knowing yourself and what makes you tick is a power like no other. 3. Vet your clients as if they are partners - they will often control the future of your business the same way. 4. Adapt - markets change, techniques update, elections happen, covid happens, technology advances. Yesterdays solution can become tomorrows problem, you can’t stay static. 5. It’s about impact not profits - those matter but way less than focusing on impacting your community with your product, quality or service. 6. Hire only superstars - and put just as much energy on team culture as you do sales and marketing. 7. Fail forward - know failures are a part of the reality of being an entrepreneur, learn from each one. Figure out what went wrong and don’t let it define you. 8. Success is in the act of doing - doubters will be everywhere. It takes a special personality to decide to run your own company if they aren’t in the arena their opinion doesn’t matter. 9. It always takes time, more time than you think and more effort than you ever expect, but have fun along the way and remember it’s the ride that matters…Not the destination if you solely focus on end results you’ll never enjoy the building process needed to achieve those results. Cheers and here’s to 9 more years!

For V. With (Inspired by MANY real life events over the last 11 years of running an agency.) — Some may call it semantics, and I’m sure this topic has been covered before, but since it has bothered me for years I want to add my humble perspective to the conversation. This one has always bothered me to my core. UNFOLD currently has somewhere in the realm of 150+ members on the team. Not one of them works *FOR* Daniel Weisinger and I. Everyone works *WITH* Daniel and I, or better said, we work along side one another. This is such an important distinction because the team that exists at UNFOLD do not exist to prop up our Fabergé egos. Truth be told I actually don’t want to hire anyone that wants to work FOR us. Working FOR us suggests subordination and all the heady power dynamics that accompany it. None of which give us an advantage over competition or make the company vastly stronger. Working WITH on the other hand speaks to the mutual respect we covet, and communicating with everyone as equals. We want the team to feel okay to disagree with us when necessary. We want the team to feel okay to take a big swing and not live in fear of a miss. We want the team to know that we’re in it with them. We want the team to know that we win together and we lose together. (I can list so many more, but I gotta wrap this up.) Most important to me is that working WITH honors all the hard work, late nights, and battles fought (won or lost) that we have seen together over the years. I count my blessings that we have had the privilege of working along side some the most intensely smart, talented, driven, passionate and dedicated mother-funkers on the planet. (Got a little carried away bragging on the team a little.) Daniel and I, we ain’t the CEOs managing from afar via a P&L. We are proud on the ground operators, grinding it out most days to move the needle to accomplish the business objectives at hand. This only happens by working WITH the team.

Know this: extraordinary growth is closer than you think. And it may all start with taking a chance on yourself like I did, so long ago. I accepted the position of admin to help run the office of mountain climbers, Alan Hobson and Jamie Clarke and I knew as soon as I met them that I would be promoting them. Trusting me, in 3 months they hired someone to replace me and there I was, booking them as speakers. I believe in you, I hope you do too. xoxo K #entrepreneurialjourney #growthmindset

The Two-Second Decision that Defined His Career 🌞 *Courtesies* Matthews, a smart Sales Manager, on a Sunday evening, was in the parking lot of a big shopping mall. The parking lot was packed. Cars were crawling with anxious drivers hunting for that one vacant slot to park. Matthew's, sharp and aggressive as he was, spotted a vacant space ahead and quickly zoomed in. But, he could also see that another car had reached that spot before him and the old man at the wheel was struggling to reverse his car into the same slot. Matthews beat the old man to it. Matthews felt jubilant - as we all sometimes do with life's little victories. The old man in the other car was very disappointed. He looked Matthews in the eye, but continued to search for another parking slot. Two days later, Matthews was preparing for one of the biggest moments of his career. He was close to winning a big contract for his company. And all that was left now was the formal handshake meeting with the client's CEO. As Mathews walked into the client's office with full confidence and offered his handshake to the CEO, he felt a sudden sense of discomfort. The CEO was the same man from whom he had snatched the parking slot on Sunday. Worse still, the Old man immediately recognized him. And you can guess what happened thereafter... Alas... if only Matthews had been polite enough to consider offering that Old Man the parking slot. The world is divided into two types of people: Those who push open a door, walk through and let it slam behind them. That's the 99% of the population. And there's the 1% who hold it open to allow the trailing person behind to walk through... Learn to do that, and you too could join the select exclusive 1% Super CEO Club in the world .... Winning in life is less about self ambition and more about helping other people win.... Someone once said, "It's nice to be important. But it's more important to be nice"... Make a beginning today.... Have a great day 😊🙏 #Karma #Kindness #Consideration #Longterm #consequences #Small #decisions #Big #impact #Courtesy #Respect #Success #principles
