Sometimes it’s good to do something COMPLETELY new and terrifying! This platform is often used to highlight corporate wins (and don’t get me wrong, those are important). But I just want to take the time to highlight a very personal win for me. In spring last year, I was at a point in my life where I felt as if I was only existing as “half of myself”. Life felt a lot like a square box that I had been carefully building since I started studying in 2015. And I was honestly mostly showing the sides of myself I thought would be safe to show. So when X-factor contacted me to ask if I wanted to try it out, you can imagine that this was not the easiest yes in the world. It came with uncertainties and doubts that I had been carefully avoiding for many years. However, with help from loved ones, I managed to show up. And so far, I have learned so much! I have learned: 1: That the things we are the most scared to do, sometimes end up being the best experiences we will have. 2: That it is okay to have different sides AND to show them. 3: And finally, that being brave and passionate should be celebrated and encouraged. And you are allowed to feel proud of your accomplishments! From now on, I will try my best to bring all of this new knowledge to work! And also, have a look at my 6-chair challenge if you want 🎉

In 2016, a friend and I created a short film: "Jeff Harding": https://lnkd.in/g9HhDy_8 that became a finalist at Tropfest, the world's largest film festival. Our work was watched by thousands, judged by experts, and ultimately won an award. This recognition told us that people enjoyed our film. The numbers were encouraging—views, likes, and positive feedback showed that our film resonated with the audience. However, we were left with a burning question: What exactly did people like about the film? Was it the #story, our filmmaking prowess, or something more profound? Imagine if we could delve deeper, beyond conscious self-reporting, to uncover the unconscious neurological responses of our viewers. What if we could see how their brains reacted to different elements of our film? This insight could be a game-changer. By understanding the unconscious thoughts and feelings of our audience, we could refine our #storytelling, enhance our filmmaking techniques, and transform our short film into an unforgettable experience. Such insights could reveal whether themes like #alcoholism, #sport, and #cultural icons truly struck a chord and inspired viewers to take meaningful action. Want to find out? Participate in Our Short Film POC We invite you to join our first POC by watching the Tropfest short film "Jeff Harding" using Immersion mobile application Tuesday. This will help us measure emotional responses to the short film. How to Participate Sign Up: Complete this form: https://lnkd.in/gTFCzV-2 to register your interest OR direct message your email. Check Your Email (on your mobile): We will send you all the instructions you need. Thank you! AJ

IT Problem Solver | Director, AI Infrastructure @ Ignite | Delivering Options | Optimizing Costs | Accelerating Deployments
Today, I'm reflecting on one of Grant Cardone's 32 rules for success: "Love challenges." It's a concept that has a profound impact on me, particularly now as I navigate my journey with Fílos in a purely commission-based role. Embracing this challenge was a conscious decision to test my limits and expand my horizons. I've always believed in painting myself into a corner - not to limit myself, but to push beyond perceived boundaries. This role at Fílos is the epitome of that belief, presenting the tightest corner I've ever willingly placed myself in. With each step, I encounter new challenges, which, in my view, is a clear indicator of growth and progress. Moving towards fear is how I ensure I am constantly evolving. Each new problem to solve or obstacle to overcome is a testament to the journey I am on - a mission filled with continuous learning and relentless pursuit of excellence. Thanks for checking this out. Get out there, do great things, inspire folks, and be kind.

Let's try this again. Last week, we didn't have any #niceguy nominations, so I'm hopeful we'll have some great ones this week to make up for it. I know we have a holiday weekend coming up here in the US, so if you have time to give a shout out before you take off for the unofficial start of summer that would be great. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EST Thursday. There are only 3 requirements: 1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate 2) you can only nominate one person per week 3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀 If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement. Let’s recognize people who make a difference simply by being nice. Have a great day, everyone. https://lnkd.in/etppteyc #network #sportsbiz #people #niceguy #networking #sportsmarketing

This week we're going to have a celebratory dance (and maybe a pint or two)... Because The Eastern Blok is TWO years old! We've spent the last few weeks going up and down the country and it just so happens we forgot about this milestone but thanks to LinkedIn, Pawel Warchol and I remembered! It's been a weird mix of emotions - at first I was a bit upset to have forgotten such a big life moment, but then it's so exciting to look back and see how much we've achieved for ourselves and our clients and there's a feeling of disbelief in there too... How has the time passed by so quickly? I don't know... But what I do know is that we've worked on some amazing projects, we've met some amazing people along the way and I wouldn't change it for the world. So as we celebrate two years of The Eastern Blok, here are a couple of reflections we've been thinking about recently: 1. Surround yourself with people who share your values and aim high with everything you do - it's the way we like to work. Simple. 2. Use every opportunity that comes your way to challenge yourself. 3. Communication is key and transparency is the way forward - we like to be real in everything we do. 4. Treat your clients as trusted partners rather than a one-way-transaction - it's all about teamwork at the end of the day. 5. Celebrate the wins and learn from the losses... Looking back to two years ago, we couldn't put them into words, but now we recognise and act on each of these points every single day. 🎂 Now if you've read this far, who wants some birthday cake...?!
