Community Pharmacy Teams - if you are not using Accurx - why not? I’ve been using Accurx to communicate with my patients since the pandemic began. The team at Accurx came to see me at the Pharmacy Show and had identified me as one of the few Community Pharmacy users of accurx. We use if for : - messaging our patients when their prescription is ready for collection - letting patients know about our services such as blood pressure checks - sending sign posting and safety netting information to patients, especially with Pharmacy First - reminding people about appointments they have with us for covid / flu jabs - messaging patients and GP practices when items are out of stock - accessing the patients records with their permission if needed - sending questionnaires to patients for services such as the new medicine service The best thing about it is that it is really easy to use, and it’s free! Pharmacy deserts can exacerbate broader health disparities, as people in these areas may face delays in accessing essential medications and healthcare advice, ultimately impacting health outcomes. Do you get your prescriptions from an independent pharmacy? If not, you might be missing out.
