In the heart of a sprawling industrial complex, where the rhythmic hum of machinery echoes through towering structures, sits David. David is the Head of Operations. He joined the company 30 years ago. In that time he had weathered countless market shifts, balanced perpetual production demands and supply chain intricacies is basically part of the furniture. Undoubtedly the company wouldn’t be where they are today without him. Yet the winds of change blow steadily through the industry, bringing with them whispers of sustainability, eco-efficiency and corporate responsibility. But David is steadfast. Resistent. To him, the current methods are proven. Why fix something that is not broken? But in a way, the methods are broken, aren’t they? Many processes were not built with circularity or waste reduction or recycling in mind. Do you find yourself up against a David when you push for change in your company? Or do you identify as a David? Follow us to learn how to bring David on to the green side, and go from experiencing resistance at every step, to working together towards common goals! P.S. Share your own experiences with David below! ⬇

🟥 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 🔻1. Sustainable Investment: Purchasing a shipping container is a one-time investment that promises enduring cost savings. The expenses associated with long-term storage or accommodation through hiring can accumulate, surpassing the cost of outright ownership. 🔻2. Tailored to Your Needs: Owning a container grants you the freedom to customize it according to your unique requirements. From adding windows and insulation to incorporating shelving and lighting, you have the flexibility to adapt the container to suit your specific needs. 🔻3. Absolute Control: You possess the container outright, enabling versatile use without the constraints of returning it at the end of a rental period. Whether for storage, accommodation, or any other purpose, the container is at your disposal. 🔻4. Resale Value: Shipping containers maintain their value well and can be resold when no longer needed. A well-maintained container, if purchased in good condition, can potentially be resold at a comparable price to its initial purchase, adding a layer of investment return. 🔻5. Accessibility at Your Convenience: Depending on your location, hiring a shipping container may not always be a feasible option. Ownership ensures ready access whenever the need arises.

ScanDrums, 1976 where it all started Looking back at the year 1976 – when ScanDrums was one of the first companies in the industrial area South Søndersø with cows as nearest neighbors😀. On a field and under open sky ScanDrums´ founder Niels-Jørgen Jørgensen started collecting used steel drums for renovation and recycling. The steel drums were stacked, refurbished for recycling and loaded on trucks for delivery to new customers. A renovation process that they did not know would be just as popular 48 years later. At that time recollection and renovation of used drums was not written or described as sustainable work or circular product development but simply described as common sense to reuse what could be reused. A large stock of drums was quickly collected and the need to get under a roof and make the recycling site more efficient became necessary. In the same year, a warehouse and an administration building were built on the location. In the years that followed more space was needed and ScanDrums bought the side locations Bødkervej 5-6-7. The industrial area looks significantly different today. ScanDrums has neighbors on all sites and no cows walking around😊. ScanDrums has since moved location to Snavevej 12 where stocks, administration and IBC washing line is located, but the renovation proces of drums is still being carried out on the locations on Bødkervej - just as it started 48 years ago.

Innovation, Innovation everywhere! Ideas kisi ki jageer nahin hoti. And so is innovation. It can come from anyone, can happen at all levels and can touch every aspect of life and work. This innovation (in the picture attached) at the bottom of the pyramid touched my heart and I could not stop smiling and sharing it. I've seen manual labourers working in farms or building infrastructure for us and they have to undergo a lot of physical torture just for two meals a day. Earlier, I had introduced wheel based solutions for our farm to reduce manual work but for climbing stairs and narrow lanes I feel the innovation shown in the picture is amazing. It simply has a 10x impact on productivity with lesser strain. If bricks, cement, sand, soil or any other load has to be taken up and the lift facility is not available then this is the new way to carry the load and handle the manual work. It simply removes the load from the head and distributes it to the shoulders and back. As per definition pressure is load by area, the moment it gets distributed to a larger area, the pressure reduces. To add, when your head is free of baggage you certainly think and act better. It costs nothing but has great value. It has the promise to respect people who work so hard for their living. #dissolvethebox #innovation #headandheart #respect #pressure #leader #vision
